I do not see how they could use the fall standings at all if we do have a spring season. These teams will be playing this fall with very little training and preparation. I truly hope that if we play in the spring, that we go back to a regular conference season. I would rather them treat this fall as an extended spring training than to factor in a record that is skewed based on pod pairings as well as teams not being tuned up.

Sounds like most of them have be practicing for quite a while. I feel like they have had more time to practice? Unless there is a team that is in a state that blocked them from practicing.

For the sake of your sanity and as I've been saying on here for months, forget competitive equity this year. The NCAA has abandoned any pretense of fairness and there will undoubtedly be more inequity than fans are used to. Case in point; if your school is playing volleyball soon, just be grateful you have volleyball to watch. If a season happens in the spring, yes your team will have had a disadvantage regarding these games. If it doesn't happen in the spring, these games are lagniappe. Either way, volleyball is not being played right now with any concept of parity, so try not to expect any. This year that is simply too much to ask.

My grandpa was from Baton Rouge, he used it frequently. I'm sorry that discovering you didn't know every word in existence hurt your ego. I hope you can still have a great day!

I used a word that has a happy association in my memory with a generous old man full of southern words & phrases. Your point as usual, reveals more about you than anything else.

I didn’t for one second think you were trying to make me feel inferior, that’s a laughable accusation. It’s a word that you would next to never hear, i now understand that you used it as a loving tribute to wonderful and generous family member. You certainly don’t have a record of being pedantic, or a higher authority. My apologies

Up until two years ago I had been in BR for 15 years. I loved eating at Lagniappe Restaurant: great seafood!

Greetings from Baton Rouge, where stanfordebate is correct. Lagniappe is a really good restaurant. Nice usage by @bwf2 And we have a ton more good places that I look forward to actually going to again in my post-COVID lifetime ... Anyway, speaking of lagniappe, working on an in-depth ACC preview to post later this week, since the league has matches Thursday-Friday-Saturday-Sunday.

Actually it appears there are only ACC matches Thursday and Friday. Best I can tell the ones listed by the NCAA for Saturday and Sunday are not happening. If you know otherwise, please let me know.. But either way, looking to post on Wednesday.
