Just found out my sister and brother-in-law had COVID last week. Fortunately they were both vaccinated and seem to have come through it OK.

There was a news article last month saying how COVID cases was surging in the U.S. over the summer and the comments were not so kind, pointing to the U.S. origin conspiracy.
Then just last week there was a news article saying COVID cases has been on the rise in Wuhan and Guangzhou since June.

Strangely enough I tested positive. Feels like a cold. Started with a sore throat, then nasal congestion, runny nose, a headache, overall lethargy, etc. Can’t say I feel great, but it doesn’t feel like I’m going to die. I can still smell and no fever yet. Just going to wait it out. Been vaccinated about 5 times, so I figure it could have been worse. Speedy recovery BC. It's 2024, not 2020.
This virus is just another cold now. Unless he's very old and frail, he will recover just fine.

Well aware of that, I would have wished him a speedy recovery if he had said he had a rotten cold or the flu. My remark was akin to a pleasantry, but thanks for weighing in, I guess. |

I got my flu and covid shots today. I've always gotten ill after a covid shot so, if my streak continues, I'll be out of commission tomorrow for the whole day. If I don't post anything on Sunday or Monday in the "Video Games" thread about my latest exploits in Horizon Forbidden West, it's safe to assume I've traveled to the great beyond.
