Schneidmiller was injured and they played both Apfelbach and Nsakanda who are both opposites. They had no other outside hitters alternative with Kam redshirting.
Brian Garcia came in to set for Chakravorti for some matches last year.
I think they have 3 outside hitters playing this year with Tangutar coming in to serve and Schneidmiller and JB Kam.

Mental lapse by Hawaii at the end of Set 3. They went from hitting over .400 for most of the day to under .200. I wouldn't really call that a mental lapse. Brett just went to Colton too many times. One set to Rado and the match would've been over.

You’re right about needing an OH2 that is more dynamic. Also, a big loss is Austin Wilmot, who transferred to Pepperdine and is hitting .464. He also hit .727 against BYU last weekend. All those pieces need to come together to move to the next round and get to the NCAA tournament.

There seems to be some really bad tension in this match. The boys look like they wanna scrap lol scrap in ncaa volleyball is touching tips above the net
