As much as it pains me to say it, because men’s beach in the USA desperately needs a shot in the arm, but this thing is going nowhere.

They need to put the HS beach community behind it. I know the Women's side did it the other way, but you see how HS Girls beach is taking off. I was surprised at how many teams in OC had a boys Beach program already. For the most part they've been flying under the radar, but I know the CIF-SS Assitant Commissioner has been visiting collegiate duals to "check things out." Good news? Stay tuned...

Hi All! Its Megan with Beach Volleyball Consulting. Loved that this topic got picked up on here and the thoughts shared. COVID-19 presented even more challenges but we have started to share progress on this project here: beachvolleyballconsulting.com/growth/mens-collegiate-beach/ I welcome any suggestions or areas to consider to bring this to life. Right now we are looking to support any college exploring the possibility of having a men's collegiate beach program. It's likely that the NAIA will be a better fit initially but we will see what silver linings are around returning to play. Happy to chat more anytime on this and appreciate the community support! megan@beachvolleyballconsulting.com

The IBVL in California has had boys' high school programs for many years which have included CIF-SS and CIF-LA schools from Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. The championships end with the Southern Pacific District Championships unlike the IBVL Girls' program which results in district followed by state championships. The IBVL has sent representatives to the ISF World Schools Beach Volleyball Championships in 2017 and 2019 in both boys and girls divisions.
