Dang I was wondering when he was going to commit. Do you guys think he could've played d1 somewhere? Despite being undersized he's got really good hands to make up for that

Despite being undersized he's got really good hands to make up for that He 100% could have gone D1. It's interesting that he chose MIT when they already recruited a setter (Riley Oh). Nonetheless, this is probably MIT's best recruiting class ever with the Oh twins and now Robin going there.

He’s not committed only been admitted. For some reason b2b just posted. As far as I heard he’s still looking at a few schools before deciding.

Despite being undersized he's got really good hands to make up for that Robin could have easily gone D1 as he has one of the best hands in the class of 2021. He has a touch that you don’t see in most players and I have to admit, he is one of the nicest setters to watch as of recent. He is 6’2 given that (maybe 6’1) but you see another B2B setter in Dylan Zhai for UCI getting freshman of the week so who knows. Joe Worsley was also a small setter who dominated. Robin doesn’t have that same athleticism but he does possess great potential. Robin is definetly looking for academics in his schools when thinking about volleyball, wonder if he got an offer from Harvard or Princeton. Regardless Robin could EASILY go D1 if he chose to do so

i think 100% that Robin is going to MIT next year. MIT could run a 6-2 with Riley and Robin, but lets see if he goes the d1/d2 route with Princeton or Harvard.

Nyherowo Omene- Princeton good for him! its crazy seeing his development from an uncoordinated middle who could jump out of the gym in 14s to an outside/oppo with the same vert with coordination along with his athleticism.

Has UC Irvine signed anyone? Middlehitter does not have anyone listed as signing with UCI.

With the transfer rate the last few years in combination with the lacking development of talent, why would recruits want to go to UCI? The days of John Speraw and UCI being a force are long gone. It's sad to see.

The recruiting problem is getting a setter and (lessor so) a Libero. If UCI had a setter than was 2 years into the position of the same level as the otehr BW teams they would be a hard team to beat. The current setter is doing well considering he is a freshman but he is not a blue chip setter like other teams similar to UCI in recruiting capability.
