Doesn’t look like this would be accessible to West Coast clubs, kids would need to miss 2 days of school - fly out Thursday and play Friday.

The Chicago Winter Championship looks like your kid would only have to miss Monday and be back home by 9 pm if you flew out of Chicago by 5 pm.

The first contest date for 2011 CIF is 2/20, so it's doable from that perspective.

Chicago has typically been on MLK day weekend. A couple of our boys went to school Friday, missing no school. Didn't work out well with the weather - 2nd year in a row that's been a bit of an issue, though last year we didn't "lose" players.
