Hi folks. In my second week away from PrepVolleyball.com, I've been posting on Twitter (https://twitter.com/volley_high) . I am doing a few things:
1) Recruiting class rankings -- I have posted my top 10 so far (trying to decide between Minnesota and Kentucky for No. 1 overall) 2) Mock draft -- I am conducting a mock draft with college coaches of the top players in the Classes of 2021 and younger. Kenna Orr went No. 1. No. 9 gets posted today (Hint: she's a 6-5 sophomore). We are going to 30. 3) Top HS teams for 2020 (if teams get to play) state-by-state. We're on the states that start with M currently.
I invite you to check it out. I'm having some fun waiting for my next gig.

I have been following along. Here are some topics you should cover. 1. Thoughts on USVA lifting ban on clubs practicing April 30th. Some states will have open gyms but will USVA lift ban if other states are still under shelter in place? 2. Do a ranking of Club Volleyball Ages 15 to 18. Your last ranking was in February before Sunshine and other qualifiers.
PS your call on Pius as best HS team in Georgia doesn't have a prayer. Macintosh is easily the strongest team in the state this year followed by Walton. Pius senior setter transferred to Alpharetta.

Your top 10 matches up with the Black Ink scores - except #10 for Black Ink was between UCLA, Notre Dame and Ohio State. Minnesota vs. Kentucky is a tough one. I would take Minnesota if only looking at the top 3 - but Kentucky has a stronger #4 and has an 'extra' 5th recruit. I think I would still rather have Minnesota despite Kentucky having more black ink. Like seeing Kansas making the Top 10 on your list (as they are #9 in Black Ink). Has to be the best and deepest class in school history (in terms of when they entered college, not necessarily after they are done).

I saw one of your tweets was kind of a “top 9 as of now” from the class of 2023. Any chance you’d want to do that with the 2022 class as well?

Maybe, but you see through the Mock Draft the '22 kids that are top of the totem pole: Carlson Faumunia Middleton Rubin Singletary Wucherer That's six.If you add Kahahawai, Kubik and Wrobel, you might have a workable top nine.

Obviously I don't have complete information. You are right that Pius would drop several notches without Ava. Articles -- Not going to do that unless/until VolleyHigh the website is a full go, which is still in discussion. Club rankings could be coming next!

All of them are going to Wisconsin. Even Kubik. Just kidding—wishful thinking.

Speaking of 2022s, would love to see article on how the coaches think the process will play out starting June 15. Especially in light of many college camps being cancelled, etc. I would love to see the coaches side.

One thing is for certain John, you need a website to house your rankings, drafts and other fun things. Tracking it all on Twitter is less than ideal. Looking forward to watching this grow.

John - would be helpful if you listed class year with each pick. You did it on the first 5 picks, but not on 6-9.

Well actually, we called them McIntrash when I was in school since they were our in-county rival. And no, I was not 100% sure since there are different spellings. I don't know the names of every high school in Georgia. I moved out 24 years ago.

They have made it through the first 15 picks in the mock draft. 5 in the 2021 class including the 1st 4 picks.
7 players from the 2022 class with only Wucherer (#7 - Minnesota) and Hurta (#15 - Indiana) committed. It is going to be fun watching Rubin and Wurcherer progress over the next couple years.
The 1st 3 from the 2023 class are off the board. #12 Harper Murray (MI) - a lot has already been written about her, #13 Julia Blyashov (CA), I should have seen her play, but didn't know about her, #14 Ella Swindle (MO) - I would be willing to bet she drew the most interest among top D1 coaches at Triple Crown. I don't think she played a match that didn't have 15+ coaches watching.
