Harrison has really thrived. What a great coaching staff and a great environment can do. I hope she's thriving but I'm not sure how much the coaching staff has actually improved her performance... Her hitting efficiency is up and her kills per set are down on last year, but as the poster above suggests, I think that's more about the rest of the offense. Her passing is actually worse this year and she's often hidden in SR (when she is allowed to pass, she's given very little floor) and her blocking is about the same. She's still not a 6-Ro OH. Do you think the coaching staff has significantly improved an aspect of her game? I don’t disagree with anything you’re saying here and this doesn’t have to do with the posters comment. However, i would just say it is fun to watch an elite pair of OH(Offensively speaking) for a change. Whether it makes Baylor better than say a solid OH2 who could also pass /defend well is obviously a different question. I think a player like McCall could’ve been the best of both worlds for them (not sure if they pursued, I can’t remember the timing of the Harrison transfer but I think McCall was around the same time as Fleck shortly after the tournament).

If they can help her become a consistent passer, that would be great for Baylor.

Harrison has really thrived. What a great coaching staff and a great environment can do. She's played two matches against NCAA tournament teams from last year and had 2.3 kps and hit .128.

I hear you regarding passing. Offensively she is taking smarter shots. Kills per set are down as Baylor has more offensive weapons than UNC had.The passing will come. For playing on a new team, weird short season she’s adapted really well and very quick. So yes I do credit the coaching staff.

You think she'll play 6 Ros? Based on what they're doing in SR, the coaching staff seem to think she is a weaker passer than Yoss.

Quite the contrast from Texas 2021 class of zero. Of course if our two international signees are enrolled in the spring, 2020 will be Texas' big class. How many of Baylor's class do you think are scholarship recruits?

Harrison chose to leave UNC because she wanted to be a 6 rotation player and because she didnt feel the setting was helping her numbers....coaching staff said she could ease into the 6 rotation role but they were not sold on it....so she headed to Baylor.
Baylor has better setting than UNC but her numbers are still down. I do hope that she develops into the 6 rotation players she is aspiring to be, but right now, she is stretching the Baylor serve receive thin as they cover for her.

With the 2020 UNC OHs now all passing worse than Harrison did in 2019, when do you start questioning the abilities of the coaching staff who are teaching UNC's pins to pass?

Obviously development isnt happening there. I hope she grows at Baylor and becomes that all around player. Great kid.

Based on the last few years, I'm not sure there's any aspect of that coaching staff that isn't being questioned.

I’m really excited to see Anderson play this spring! I think she helps clear things up for the other hitters and gives them a strong threat at the middle.
