Formal introduction aside; I've been getting a lot of traffic this week from this forum specifically. I just wanted to take the time to thank you all for checking out our new site, I hope it's something the D3 community can be proud of moving forward. Look forward to providing D3 focused content to you all for the foreseeable future.

Still mind boggling to me that Kevin Duffy only received honorable mention in the 2020 All-American selections- frogjumpvolleyball.com/2020/07/15/topmiddlesd3/

Still mind boggling to me that Kevin Duffy only received honorable mention in the 2020 All-American selections- frogjumpvolleyball.com/2020/07/15/topmiddlesd3/I cannot speak for the All-American committee; but the numbers were definitely there. For what it's worth there was a huge pool of senior talent at Middle Blocker. Braas, Ferraro, O'Malley, and they all got 1st-team, including Gavin the 1st-team had 4 MB and they were all deserving from a stats standpoint. Chris Parkers season analytically was kind of insane, and I think Kevin Duffy suffered mostly from the depth on the 1st-team and the talent of players on the 2nd-team, being the first middle off the board. An honorable mention is still an accomplishment with the type of middle play the division had last season, and it's more of a "when" than "if" question. I look forward to seeing what he can do as a rising Junior.

Any more confirmations on impactful seniors that are leaving/coming back for 2021? Any transfer news? Very interested to see how rosters shape up over the next few months.

4/6 of seniors from Stevens are returning (Lehman not confirmed to be one of them yet) Kyle Vazquez (libero from Benedictine) transferring to north central Lancaster Bible College will be returning all of their starters. The setter battle will be one to watch out for between last year’s starter Reuben Kemrer or Kaleb Ansell who set for them during their NCAA run. If it was me, I am starting Kemrer who may not be as physically talented as Ansell but his IQ is off the charts.

Hi everyone. Longtime listener, not a first time caller.
Here's a question. Does the the recent announcement of no fall championships begin a spiral of other potential cancellations because of Title IX? I understand there are multiple ways to stay in compliance with this federal law, but based on spending amounts of each sport, could this action put the Men's D3 championship in trouble?
I do feel that COVID isn't going away anytime soon, and will impact all championships this year - unless a vaccine is created.
But, there's no COVID, right?

None of this has anything to do with Title IX. Full stop. If winter/spring championships happen or don't happen, it will solely be because of where we're at with the virus.

I am in full agreement that this is all being caused by COVID. I just wonder could there be a case for it. For example, could someone say because I didn't have an opportunity, you shouldn't too. I think it's far fetched, but it was more of a curiosity. I've been out of the coaching game for almost a decade, so I was hoping to get some thoughts from current coaches that have an understanding of what's being said in the boardroom amongst other coaches and sports.

No, because those spring sports lost their season in 2020, so in theory, it would all balance out.
Some bad news - JWU Providence announced they are disbanding the program. One of eight sports to be cut.

Been rumored for a few years now, cognrats to Pat for finally taking the next step. Shocked that this news didn't come from Stevens first. Weird optics.
