I don’t see her on either PrepDig Top 100 or PrepVolleyball Top 150. Oops! Since Tawa stepped away from ranking there hasn't been a good national ranking out there. Hopefully he gets the gang back together soon and gets some legit rankings out for the volleyball community. I feel like the VolleyballMag rankings were pretty good for 2022. It said college coaches helped with rankings. |

My first thought was what's with all the cooling towers? But then I realized it's some kind of colonnade situation. The columns in the background are four of the six from the original campus building Academic Hall that burned in 1892. 🤔 They have been a monument on the Francis Quandrangle after surviving early attempts at demolition.😬 Rumor back in my era was that they would put up a new column every time a virgin graduated from Mizzou. 😳 |

Looks like Ayden Ames will be playing for Ping! Just added Drive Nation to her social media since tryout season began today Ping has put together a dream team with some of the best 2024’s in the DFW and SA areas. The top two teams in the Dallas area for the coming club season will most likely be Drive Nation 17 Red and TAV 17 Black. Next season Ping is going to work his team hardest ever because this is probably the only year he didn’t make the gold bracket. |

So he's only got two kids from his own club's 16-1 team? Gracious...doesn't say much for the training at the club or loyalty to players from your own club. I get trying to create top teams, but if you're only keeping 2 of your own and have to pull 8-10 kids from other clubs, I gotta scratch my head. |

I don't know a thing about the DN situation at all but in general clubs need to win to draw as may kids as possible for lower level teams, camps, one on one sessions, ect. Youth sports has become a money making machine. I guess High School is still about the kids and relationships while club is about the results. Not that high school results don't matter but you can't really turn over a whole lineup. You have to coach them up and grow together.

I understand the sentiment behind this idea, but DFW (and apparently including SA too) has such a large amount of elite talent, that it is typically spread about amongst 4-5 bigger clubs and they’re still elite. It’s like the transfer portal - you might have some recruits that are amazing coming in, but if you can get a top player from another top team, why would you not? |

I remember hearing almost this exact thing last year when Ping took over 17's at DN and grabbed some MF and TAV kids. It was all the buzz that it would be the best team in 17's. They took 19th at Nationals. Started the year ranked #1. |
