Ping has put together a dream team with some of the best 2024’s in the DFW and SA areas. The top two teams in the Dallas area for the coming club season will most likely be Drive Nation 17 Red and TAV 17 Black. Next season Ping is going to work his team hardest ever because this is probably the only year he didn’t make the gold bracket. Now how exactly is Grace Carrol going to drive from SA to Drive Nation for practice? That is nuts and why? Already got Baylor locked in. Seems a bit over the top especially when his team this year didnt even win it all so its not a given. Unless she is moving to D/FW? Heard she will be taking a 45min flight twice a week to go to practice!

If what I am reading is right, Avery Jackson at Mad Frogs must not be playing indoor anymore after this year and her commit to Stanford for beach, so that team broke up which makes sense now with a few heading to DN.

This is and extreme case but also understand that the club director at drive has only been there 2 years (this will be his third) and this is Ping's second year so the coaching tree from top to bottom has changed a lot over the last two years and the club is very much in transition building into something new. The club overall is fairly new and has had leadership changes a couple of times in its short history. This seems to be the vision that Jermaine had for the club originally and feels like the most stable path forward. I don't love it but the path forward is painful and that has included some players being let go. There are lots of facets to this story and I'm torn on it but the bottom line is, the coaches that are there now, are well equipped to train kids at the younger age. You also have a regionality factor that many of the upper upper tier kids from the west side of the metroplex had been driving an hour plus to play at elite clubs for elite coaches because there wasn't an option in the west portion of the Metroplex. Drive is solving that and with having Ping at DN, many of the kids that were driving are now staying because they can get the same level training and be on an elite team but not have to drive as far. It's not how it works here to only keep 2 but TAV, where this group comes from, has been known to cut big chunks of teams. They had a team a few years ago at TAV win nationals and the next day cut half the team. It's really tough. Not all clubs are this way and many do retain. This group for Ping has kind of been a perfect storm brewing where lots of things had to happen to have this much movement and they all happened. will jadyn livings still be playing for tav

If I’m not mistaken, Marianna from A5 (now TX) commuted from SC to GA a cpl times a week too. 5 hours each way or something like that.

Correct and Jurnee Robinson 17 Jing from A5 (LSU) did a similar commute from SC this year, although I believe it was closer to a 3hr drive each way.

I dont have exact numbers, but I feel like the commitments/announcements are a lot slower this year compared to last year. By mid July last year, I think there were more than 30 announcements. It's only around 10 now.

It's only around 10 now. I agree, it's been very quiet from most of the P5 schools and quite a few kids who I thought would be no brainers and snapped up quickly have yet to announce. I am guessing we will see a few more this week after the big camp weekend this week and next.

Since both Bethanie Wu and Carson Eickenloff are on roster that pretty much confirms Carroll will be hitting only?

There is a player missing from the tags. Only 11 accounted for but 12 counting Ayden who couldn't be there.

Ping hit the imaginary Texas prep portal and said, "all of them, please."
