What is the success rate for college 5-1 setters when being a S in club vs. S/RS in club? Is there a way we can quantify this? Maybe - look at the top 10-15 setters in college, then looking to see how many of them hit in club? Hancock worked out. But I am looking for a much bigger sample size. Did Hilley hit in club or just high school? I'm not sure about club, but I think its notable that she won MN POY as an outside hitter in a year that included Jasmyn Martin (Minnesota), Jenny Mosser (UCLA), McKenna Melville (UCF) and Lauren Clarke (Penn State), to name a few. She could hit the cover off the ball. I thought for sure we'd see her hit at Wisconsin but it never came to pass. Guess it worked out OK tho. |
