And say goodbye to anymore NCAA tournament births RMU! Long term, I'd think this would help Robert Morris's recruiting a lot. They should be much more appealing to volleyball-rich areas in Ohio, Indiana and Chicago since they'll be playing their matches there instead of traveling to the northeast for every road trip.

I think the Horizon League kind of got screwed this year. They managed to game the RPI System and put their conference in best position to get multi bids.
We reward other teams for doing that, why not them? I can’t see why Virginia Commonwealth is more respectable than Milwaukee or Green Bay?

This kind of makes sense in spirit. I say spirit because Robert Morris is in the big fat suburbs of Pittsburgh and not actually Pittsburgh, but I guess "close enough." But geographically it makes sense as it's only a few hours from the eastern Horizon teams.

Smart move for Fort Wayne as well in regards to geography. Most of your trips going to the frozen tundra up north wasn't very advantageous for recruiting. This could really be a big boost for them in recruiting the Indiana kids to stay home since away games aren't so widespread.

Losing Fort Wayne and adding UMKC is a net positive geographically.

We reward other teams for doing that, why not them? I can’t see why Virginia Commonwealth is more respectable than Milwaukee or Green Bay? They did game the RPI well thanks to a couple Horizon teams winning some good non-conference wins. However, the level of volleyball, in my opinion, played in the conference last year just didn’t seem very high. I’m fact, Green Bay lost to Milwaukee 3 or 4 times in one season. Milwaukee also lost to teams like Oakland twice in one season. But do they really deserve a spot in the tournament because a team in their conference beat Notre Dame in five sets early. I personally didn’t think the level of play was at a high level during conference season. Just my opinion. They did do a great job gaming the RPI though.
