What is up with this conference? Different year same predictable results. Getting boring. A couple years ago it looked like there might be some talent coming in to move the scale, but it just seems to get stale every year. This conference is in a hotbed of volleyball talent and I don't get why there isn't more movement. New coaches are not living up to expectations as far as I can see. Seems like the conference schools with their resources could do a better job attracting the Elliotts that are out there and available instead of these poorly schooled and relatively inexperienced lower level coaches they attract. I Like the top of the conference, but the bottom schools need to work harder and get some new blood in there. TCU has been one of the biggest disappointments. They have the talent but have not been able to deliver. I really thought TCU was gonna be a team to worry about with their recruiting but it certainly hasn’t turned out that way. Losing McCall doesn’t help either.

Success of anyone but Texas seems to ride on a team getting the 1-2 superstars that really pull up the team for a few years, until their eligibility runs out. Kansas, and now Baylor on the crest of the wave. The question is if the coach can recruit at that high level so that injuries and transfers don't dent the pipeline of future players. It seemed that Kansas was going to ride the wave brought on by Payne and Rigdon, until suddenly their successors didn't pan out or stick around. Now it's Baylor's turn with the rise brought on by Stafford and Pressley and the question of how their pipeline after them is going to turn out. Texas has usually 3 superstars leading the team and has consistently replaced those with future stars, to the detriment of the shorties in the back. The fact that Jerritt couldn't reel in a single 2021 player is troubling, but that's what transfers are for I suppose.
Your 2021 concerns for Texas are ridiculous. If the 2022 class turns out be lack luster, then come back and start being "concerned", at least for Texas' standards, but in 2021 you'll have Fields (Jr.) (the #1 overall recruit in her class), Williams (Soph.) (a top 5 OH in her class), Parra (Soph.) (an international star), Phillips (Jr.) (a top 5 middle in her class), O'Neal (Jr.) (who was the top rated middle in her class) as well as sophomores who were the top rated setter and libero in the 2020 class.....If Elliot can't find 3 superstars in this group, he should retire. Oh, and Eggleston and Butler ar still on the 2021 team as seniors.

Only because The recruits wanted instant playing time and none of them would have since Texas is so young. The 2022 class will definitely be top 3 as Texas would need to replace 5 players and Texas is in the running for the top recruits in the country for 2022 so I don't think anyone should worry about Texas recruiting because that will never be a problem as long as Elliot is there. Expect the 2022 class to be a great class.

Need to remember that Texas at most had one scholarship available for the 2021 class and good chance that Davis is filling that one.

Us Texas fans can’t be too gritty, if the 2022 class don’t be top 5 then we can blame Elliott lol
