Corona.
I don't think Grozer has played in 1/2 the matches this year.

Corona. I don't think Grozer has played in 1/2 the matches this year. Tondo is still positive along with Polo and Antonov. Grozer tested negative but the club decided on bringing him back to full recovery for the Vibo and Modena games. Piacenza's PalaBlanca also got damaged by a snow fall postponing the game against Modena and the training. Piacenza made 22 serving faults. Russell had 4 and Botto who played for two sets and a half made 6.

Russell w/ 22 pts off 20K, an ace and a block... WITH A 74% efficiency. TJ had 15 pts off 14K and a block and a 52% hitting efficiency.

What I find the most impressive is that Aaron didn't commit an error in attack and hit a true .741.
DeFalco hit .407 and had a few passing errors.
Neither Russell nor DeFalco passed particularly great.
This match was surprising. After the second set it still felt like the match belonged to Vibo Valentia. About 2/3 of the way through the third set it became apparent that Piacenza was going to take the set and the match.
Piacenza was helped by Trentino and Lube both going 5.
Monza had chances in the fifth set, but Nimir found ways to score and Lucarelli played well down the stretch.

Early match this morning was a fun one if you are an American fan. Jaeschke with 15 and Jensen with 17 for Verona in a win over Top Volley.

People are sleeping on Piacenza. We have yet to see them at their best.
This is a struggling team, right? lol

People are sleeping on Piacenza. We have yet to see them at their best. This is a struggling team, right? lol They've been looking pretty good with Baranowicz (?), the new setter. I'm curious how Milano does. I noticed Sbertoli didn't play yesterday, and they still played very well against Civitanova.

I am not 100% sure people are sleeping on Piacenza. They were always good on paper but had issues continue to pop up.
I think Piacenza, Verona, and Trentino are making the most improvements since the start of the season with Trentino playing the best ball of the three.

^^^^ Include Monza in that group.
I find Bara predictable but he's more stable than Raydel. I want them to use Izzo and Finger (a little bit) for a double-sub, opponents always takes advantage of Bara in front. See TJ in that Vibo x Piacenza game.

Seems like Italy found their next great OH in Michieletto. He is arguably one of the best prospects in the world for his generation.
