Although different levels, Hawaii high school athletes are mandated to be fully vaccinated in order to participate and the start date of high school sports has been pushed back until late September due to the increase in cases. UH has started selling season tickets with no announcement yet on fan attendance but they did comment that social distancing will continue to be in effect as it should. I can guarantee it will not be full capacity for non-conference.
Good news though is that all home games will be televised/streamed according to the schedule. For the non-Hawaii residents, don't forget to get ESPN+ to catch the games now. Game at Utah Valley will most likely be shown on WAC Digital Network (believe it is free), and Utah has live streamed all of its home games including non-Utah matches in tournaments in years past. Big West is all on ESPN+ as well.

At this point, large indoor events are well within their rights to ask for proof of vaccination or a recent negative test result to be allowed into games. Otherwise, watch it at home.

I really really don’t want to turn this into a political debate, but I truly Hope we don’t lose any players because of this…

I don’t disagree with UH standpoint. I’m vaccinated and I think everyone should be. I simply just hope we don’t lose players. My post kinda came across as I disagreed, but I was mainly trying to avoid getting banned from the mods lol.

I really really don’t want to turn this into a political debate, but I truly Hope we don’t lose any players because of this… I'd say it's unlikely. Most players already missed a season because of this and would likely already be gone, given strict Hawaii protocols at the state and university level. A lot of foreigners think American anti-vaxxers are insane.

I thought Sarah Penner would also be on the team but I guess she is playing beach only for the wahine.

I'm assuming that UH has one more scholarship for this season and Penner had one more season of eligibility. Surprised if Penner turned down a full ride. She would add stability to the indoor lineup.
