Since we won't be seeing any Wahine volleyball this Fall and possibly in the Spring, let's move our 2021 recruiting banter over to a new thread. I'm holding out hope that we can a least enjoy matches on TV during the Spring even if its in front of a large cardboard cutout audience.

Still thinking there could be a Spring Women's Volleyball Season. But it could only be Conference only matches, NO NCAA Tournament and National Championship. The Spring Conference only matches could replace the Spring practice season.

From that angle, Riley looks like she is hitting over that huge block!! I was impressed with her VB IQ, she has all the shots and can pull that trigger at will. |

Looks like UHVolleyballFanToo has taken down their Youtube channel today. They mentioned it most likely being their last time uploading UH games for the past season. Didn't realize the channel was going to go with them when they were done but just want to send them a thank you again! You could see in the comments how many people from around the world watched their videos, I've even had friends who said they would watch it in work/class. Sad to see the last decade of Wahine/Warrior volleyball no longer available to view.

I can't wait till August of this year... Maybe there will be a season after all, with all the vaccines coming out and more than one vaccine will be available to everyone.

Do our seniors get another year of eligibility? I believe so but I don’t think any announcement was made about who will accept the extra year and who will move on. There will obviously be logjam at every position if all the seniors come back. My hope is Brooke and Jolie do take up the extra year. Without these two our OHs will be young and untested. The middle with Amber, Tiffany and Anna should be in good hands. Without BVS and Jolie, we will have to count on Riley Wagoner, Braelyn Akana along with incoming freshmen Mia Johnson, Annika DeGoede and Martyna Leoniak. The 3 incoming will be our future and I’m excited to have them but they are still unproven. If any of the incoming freshmen can have the impact of Hanna Hellvig, then we should be good. Always good to have senior leadership on the team to groom the ypungsters. |

I sooooooo miss Wahine volleyball. Happy we get men's and beach. But I cannot wait for August.
