To my understanding, seniors who decided to return are not going to be given the 12 scholarship available. Each school must raise funds to bring the seniors back another year. Case in point, the men's seniors are all back from funds the program raised. I could be wrong, but pretty sure about this. Regardless, this just reiterates the reality there will be a lot of transfers after this season is done. Hopefully the Wahine roster will remain intact. There's a lot of build off of. As for beach coming indoors, that's a whole different story. If Glagau remains on the indoor team, for example, it will be interesting to see if she makes any immediate impact. This may or may not open the door more for beach to indoor, but at the end of the day women's indoor gets 12 scholarships and I have no doubt Ah Mow and company can utilize all 12 on the best indoor players they can recruit. Fyi: moving beach to indoor: you must play 2 years of beach on scholarship to move indoors: and then of course receive an indoor scholarship! Which opens a beach scholarship . |

Jaclyn Matias (#1 in white) looks like she's running the floor well. Super quick to dig the ball up, wondering if she'll be made into the future Hawaii libero

Jaclyn Matias (#1 in white) looks like she's running the floor well. Super quick to dig the ball up, wondering if she'll be made into the future Hawaii libero I would think Tayli Ikenaga is the local prospect that would fill that role? She is quite the player with very good ball handling skills as an outside hitter (but too small for D1). |

Pretty sure we're recruiting Matias as a setter....
Ikenega will be great, I think she locks down that Libero position.
They didn't celebrate Van Sickle for senior weekend on the beach team. I know Eligibility wise, she's a junior on beach but if she were for sure not coming back they would have said goodbye. That leads me to believe that there is an increased chance she's coming back for the fall.
