Do our seniors get another year of eligibility? I believe so but I don’t think any announcement was made about who will accept the extra year and who will move on. There will obviously be logjam at every position if all the seniors come back. My hope is Brooke and Jolie do take up the extra year. Without these two our OHs will be young and untested. The middle with Amber, Tiffany and Anna should be in good hands. Without BVS and Jolie, we will have to count on Riley Wagoner, Braelyn Akana along with incoming freshmen Mia Johnson, Annika DeGoede and Martyna Leoniak. The 3 incoming will be our future and I’m excited to have them but they are still unproven. If any of the incoming freshmen can have the impact of Hanna Hellvig, then we should be good. Always good to have senior leadership on the team to groom the ypungsters. I'm hoping Brooke and Jolie comeback but it's totally understandable if they move on.... |

If anyone is really missing Wahine Volleyball, it’s back on YouTube. looks like they reactivated the account. truly happy about that Women’s volleyball will resume in about 5 months. I have found other things to occupy myself so I don’t miss it as much. However, I am very excited about the upcoming season. If all the seniors return plus the addition of those 3 outstanding recruits coming in, we should be ready to make another run at the BW title. The addition of Martyna Leoniak and Annika DeGoede got me fired up. I think both could have immediate impact like how Hanna Hellvig did her freshman year. |

Decent passer too. Not counting her out. She is probably the heir apparent to BVS at OH2 but it will be next to impossible to unseat BVS, if she comes back. Mia will have to wait her turn. Annika could take over for Hellvig at OPP and Leoniak will push for PT at OH1. Both have size and international experience. De Goede is more a raw recruit, has a ways to develop. She hasn't risen to senior national team status like Hellvig and hasn't gotten double digit kills in international play like Hellvig. Westerberg, with her deadly arm and blocking skills, is ahead of De Goede. |

Igiede has moved up to the #1 beach flight with BVS. Waggoner is also doing well on the sand. How many beach players get scholarships? Will the coaches move some indoor players to beach scholarships to make room for more indoor players/transfers?

A beach player can only be on a beach and play indoor after 2 years on beach I believe |

You would be going from getting a full ride for indoor to getting a partial for beach. I think Kaylee Glagau got an indoor scholarship so she now can play both and is on a full ride. I doubt any of the crossovers would go that route and give up a full scholarship and go beach only. Does not make economic sense.
