Time for Danny Kinda to come out of retirement for this one... That would be the only way this is less ridiculous... www.miaa.net/gen/miaa_generated_bin/documents/basic_module/VolleyballModificationsFall2020.pdfDuring play: • Substitutions will take place at the attack line • Player entering the match will stand at the extension of the attack line (approximately 6’). Players leaving the match will stand near the sideline. There is to be no contact during substitution exchange. • There are to be no team huddles or any physical contact (high fives, fist bumps) • Time outs require social distancing of 6 feet. • Balls are to be replaced with a clean ball after every rally. This task is to be completed by an adult • To reduce intermittent contact with opponents, front row plays will be restricted from traditionally attacking the ball while the ball is above or in front of the 3-foot lineCome on Danny... Take our breathe away one more time... 2020 needs a little humor...

WTF is the three-foot line, anyway?
Ah, OK, maybe you should have quoted this bit:
"Tape will be applied to the floor 3 feet from the centerline on each side of the net."

This sort of thing is obvious nonsense. Either it's safe to play volleyball or it's not. It's crazy to try to change the sport so that nothing happens within three feet of the net.

Wth I think if the setter sets the ball 4 feet off the net and the hitter is also at least 4 feet off the net it should be possible? Not saying it's ideal or even realistic during competitive gameplay. But it's quite possible.

I would love to find out how they imagine that an R1 who is at the net can judge whether an attacker is contacting the ball in front or behind a plane that is 3 feet offset from the net. Do R1s in Massachusetts have particularly long necks? Best.High School.Refs.Ever.

You could just put up a clear plastic “wall” made up of the stretch wrap used for wrapping pallets. Refresh it as needed during timeouts and between sets.
But no team huddles? Impossible!!!!!

Overpasses are going to be tough to deal with. Can't go up and hit it. Have to pray it doesn't clip the tape. Was always the thing I hated most about reverse coed.
