Damint. I hate this. Great person. I hope she lands some where next season. Was hoping she would make it until next season.

Was this just a case of wins and losses? After a COVID season? That would surprise me. And... for Clemson standards... those results aren’t even that bad?

After a COVID season? That would surprise me. And... for Clemson standards... those results aren’t even that bad? The last coach tailed off at the end of her career but had some conference titles and was in the tourney a lot. Clemson was surely looking for better when they made this hir (esp. with the heightened profile of the athletic department overall). 10 years ago it was probably Clemson's flagship women's sport (it might still be?!?!?) Odd year for a W-L firing after 4 seasons, but the program hadn't been overshooting expectations.

Was this just a case of wins and losses? After a COVID season? That would surprise me. And the ridiculous way the ACC decided to play their schedule? Yeah, I would be very surprised if it was wins and losses.

From their personnel, they should be poised for a better season here this coming season. Transfers, opt outs, pins etc they have the potential to be somewhat solid

I think they were trending in a better direction than when they were when the hire was made, that's for sure. So you do think this fire was due to performance? Women's Soccer has been a mainstay in the NCAA Tournament lately at Clemson. The ACC is the dominant conference in that sport.

in my opinion, worse job than Virginia. Can you elaborate on that opine? I'm definitely biased. Quality of education is better at UVA. AD is top notch and other staff are extremely supportive of women's sports and want to see VB do better. Only slight is playing in old facility but it does have it's charm.

Unrelated, but I kind of liked the "pods" in the second half of ACC play. In the case one team cancelled due to COVID, the other two teams had the opportunity to play twice. That was certainly better than the PAC-12 policy to just outright cancel and refuse any effort to make up any matches, or allow two teams that were cancelled on by other opponents to play matches, even if not counting towards conference standings.
