Why would Vanguard move up? Vanguard is better in every statistical category except for digs/set, and is overall a better team than Campbellsville. I didn't say they should flip seeds but Campbellsville should move down and Vanguard move up 1-2 spots. I feel the top 5 should not have either team in it. 1 GV 2 Missouri Valley 3 Ben-Mesa 4 Missouri Babtist 5 Jamestown You know, BenU-Mesa's schedule is going to create an interesting dilemma for voters going forward. Not all the CalPac teams are scheduled to play all of the other teams in the conference. One of the teams BenU-Mesa won't be playing is UC Merced, who looks solid again this year. The rest of the teams in the conference are pretty weak, with Park-Gilbert probably being the #3 team. BenU-Mesa did beat Vanguard twice and they have a match scheduled against Hope, but other than that, their schedule is not very challenging. An undefeated (13-0) regular season seems likely, but not sure what that actually proves. Having seen BenU-Mesa play, they are certainly not as good as their team that won the NC two years ago, and may not even be as strong as last year. I don't think UC Merced would beat them, but they are certainly good enough to threaten an upset. And now that I think about it, the lack of at least one match against BenU-Mesa is hurting UC Merced, too. Maybe at the conference tournament...?

#2 Campbellsville hosts #6 Jamestown tonight and there is no official livestream. Is there anyone streaming the game on Instagram or Facebook live? I find it really unusual for two NAIA schools to agree to a midseason exhibition match. It's too bad, as this match could provide significant clarity on the ranking of each school. I thought the same thing. That is a looooong bus ride for Jamestown to just play an exhibition in that East Coast trip. It does not make sense.

Jamestown is on their Spring Break trip and are playing several schools in the south. Mostly Conference Carolina schools which would all be exhibition - not sure why Camblesville is an exhibition game though or why it isn’t being streamed.

Kind of unfortunate that the only two teams in the cal pac that don’t play each other are the two best teams. UC Merced and BenU will more than likely meet in the conference finals as only 4 teams make it to their conference tournament and Park is currently in their probation year so they are not eligible for postseason. UC Merced plays Park 3 times this weekend and BenU has beaten Park easily twice thus far so these 3 matches this weekend could give us a better idea of how UC Merced and BenU stack up.

Campbellsville “wins” in 4. Too bad they didn’t want the match to count.

All of the games against the Conference Carolina schools are countable games for both teams, at least how they are listed right now. I do understand it is their Spring Break trip, but Campbellsville was out of the way, it would seem. Either way, Jamestown will be gassed after this trip, but they will get some good competition.

The last two weeks only provided a little more clarity. I know Campbellsville was missing players, but you still have to move them down for the loss against Warner. Vanguard lost to Hope, then handled them a week later. Indiana Tech wasn't hurt in the last poll for their Siena Heights loss, but I think that drops them this week. UC Merced isn't going to play anyone good, but they have a quality team that could crack the top 15.
My best guess at the top 15 for tomorrow..
1 Grand View 2 Benedictine 3 Missouri Valley 4 Missouri Baptist 5 Campbellsville 6 Jamestown 7 Park 8 Lourdes 9 Vanguard 10 Saint Xavier 11 Indiana Tech 12 Ottawa-AZ 13 Mount Mercy 14 Hope International 15 UC Merced

All matches were called correctly. One of the questions I had today was do people know how many bids are given out per conference? With the tournament expanding to 12 teams it leaves a lot of room for at large bids

With the tournament expanding to 12 teams it leaves a lot of room for at large bids If the rules or guidelines that were in place in 2019 will be used again this year (and I have no reason to think they won't), then each conference champion gets an automatic berth. As there are seven conferences ( with Mid-South having 12 teams), that means there will be seven eight automatic qualifiers and five four teams that receive at-large bids (CORRECTIONS from the note below - thanks!). I assume there is no limit to the number of teams a conference can place in the tournament. Here is the seeding for the pool play portion of the championship. www.naia.org/sports/mvball/2020-21/releases/Pool_Play_Schedule

Based on the info above, and CURRENT conference standings - here is a quick "Bracketology"
March 11th -
Automatic Bids: Benedictine Mesa (CalPac) Saint Xavier (CCAC) Ottawa AZ (GSAC) Jamestown (GPAC) Grand View (Heart) Campbellsville (Big South) Life* (Big South) Indiana Tech (WHAC)
*Big South receives 2 auto bids, 1 to conference tournament winner and 1 to regular season winner. The 2nd bid could be Life or Georgetown - I used their conference rating to make the Life decision
At-Large Bids: Missouri Valley Vanguard MoBap Lourdes
First Four Out: Park Mount Mercy Goshen UC Merced
Those final 8 were done mostly by the latest poll. I have Park out as I believe this is the first year they use a committee for at-large selection and I'd imagine they will look at quality wins - Lourdes wins over St. Xavier, Queens, and Goshen outweigh the value of Park's two wins over Mt Mercy.
Don't hate the messenger, I just though it would help to put some organization to this thought as we are getting close!

Don't hate the messenger, I just though it would help to put some organization to this thought as we are getting close! After reading your post I decided to take it a step further and guess what pools at nationals would look like. I changed a few conference winners to who I thought would win them. In my opinion the top 5 are locked in with minor changes depending on how the committee views each of their wins. Vanguard could drop deepening on how conference finals go against Ottawa, but still should get an at large. 7-10 were the hardest for me to find places for since I believe that any of those teams could beat a top 5 team at any time. I could see potentially 2 of these pools splitting matches and each team goes 1-1. 1. Grand view(Heart) 8. Lourdes (WHAC) 9. Saint Xavier(CCAC) 2. Bendictine Mesa(Calpac) 7. Mo Bap (At-Large) 10. Ottowa AZ (At-Large) 3. Mo Valley(At-Large) 6. Vanguard (GSAC) 11. Indiana Tech(At-Large) 4. Jamestown(GPAC) 5. Campbellsville (Mid-South) 12. Life (Mid-South)
