I agree the competition is better overseas, but I enjoy seeing more players that I got to see play in college and how they have improved since then (ex: Crocker, McCage). Good thing there's over 200 ex-NCAA players overseas  You know how leagues have foreigner limits so you get some variety, but some core of teams from that country? AU is the American version of that. It’s cool that we get a few international players, but we recognize 90% of the rosters instead of 25-50% of international rosters (at least for me personally). |

If you enjoyed the level of play in AU, it's much higher overseas. Haha. I definitely don't bite. I may yell from time to time but who doesn't do that on here lol. I welcome any and all who want to follow the International/Overseas Pro League threads. I am happy to be able to include AU in that group now. I really enjoyed watching this league. Shout out to @avid for making the threads and helping to educate and guide all of us through this new venture. I really hope this league thrives and continues to grow. Hopefully next season the NCAA won't clash with it and we can see even more recent grads join the ranks. I also look forward to more foreign talent making their way over here to AU. That will only elevate the level of play that much more. I also aim to be more present in the NCAA threads in the coming seasons. I was going to this year but COVID had other plans. Life has been a mess for this year but I am landing on my feet. I lost both jobs due to COVID and am just now getting back to being employed. I took a risk and made a career change so let's hope it pays off. But that's enough about me. I'm so glad everyone enjoyed this league! Anyways, I love VT and I literally think of many of you on here as family I just haven't met yet. Checking this board is one of the highlights of my day. I would love to see the likes of Edmond, King, and Crocker bring their game overseas! Also would like to see Sandbothe, Sybeldon and McCage all come back out of overseas retirement, they all looked very good!

Also would like to see Sandbothe, Sybeldon and McCage all come back out of overseas retirement, they all looked very good! I assume they’ve been playing somewhere other than just pickup games at the local Y. Sybeldon’s bio says she’s been working a high tech marketing job for a couple years. Very impressive showing. |

The main format changes I hope to see for next season:
1. Captains should be chosen every week based on their performance from the prior week alone and not based on their cumulative score.
2. Liberos should get more points for digs/good passes/assists than other players so they have a fair shot at making the top of the leaderboard. Same thing for middles.

A libero drafting would be at a disadvantage against other positions. I’d like to see all captains being the same position each week. Maybe top four at each position and cycle through the positions each week. I’d also like to see some kind of team champion for the final week culminating in a championship game. |

The coaches are pretty heavily involved in the drafting and we do actually rotate through a different draft position each week. (I went Purple, then Blue, then Orange, then Gold, then Purple at the end.)

Having coaches draft would really go against the mantra of the league. I think a better solution would be allowing the captains to pick which draft spot they want. Going 4/5th may be more beneficial than 1/8 |

It would be fun if they took the league on a barnstorming tour next year. Maybe four to six different cities.
