So, yeah, she was already pro at 17ish. |

Not Foecke, but Sun but yes they got dragged in that final. (they got dragged by an Egonu-less Italy in 2017 too) It was Plummer, Lanier and Sun on the pins, Stone/Pittman in the middle, Clark at libero, and Hilley/Lilley switching off at opposite. They looked great making it to the finals... where they just got blasted. Good lord what did that serve receive look like |

So, yeah, she was already pro at 17ish. Club Italia is FIPAV's NT Development program. It's a juniors team, though I think they bumped them up to Serie A1 when they had Egonu. |

I don't understand how you play volleyball at that level and not know who the top international players are. Apparently they are not fans of the sport they play. It’s like playing in the nba and not knowing who Kobe is |

It’s like playing in the nba and not knowing who Kobe is Except when you were growing up Kobe was only on TV every 4 years, and on a team you were told to root against bc its not your country. Would you expect every NBA player to know all the highlights of Arvidas Sabonis's career? Comparing professional/international volleyball to any domestic American sport is not a good argument, a closer parallel would be soccer with Pele or Maradona but even they were way more internationally famous than any volleyball player. |

I asked that and she said “they are all so young” Wow, that makes Sheilla's statement about wanting to bring her name into a relatively unknown league kinda sad, since none of our players know a legend when they see one. Next order of business should be showing all the AU players, except Jordan and DLC, the 2008 and 2012 finals to teach them the respect that Sheilla definitely deserves. |
