I thought Manns did a really nice job, and looked like the best setter in the league, imo. Wouldn't be surprised if Larson stuck with her.

Will Larson pick first? Sybeldon was forth out of scrimmages, but she got to pick first.

I know people love to fawn over SSS. But realistically, are any setters *that* good relative to the others? None looked too sharp to me. I would take Lichtman first, probably. Larson shouldn’t pick Cassidy. They bring the same strengths to the table. I think Larson is gonna want someone like Ebony I dunno, team points are worth more than individual points. A team with two OHs who can pass and dig balls is likely to win the most IMO. |

Im hoping the week 1 #1 pick for the 4th captain (Lianna) was just random.... Defeats the purpose of being #1

And somehow the last 4 are assigned or something I heard. yea it depends on the positional needs of each team (if team Gold needs an OH, they get the OH; etc, etc) I think it'll be interesting how the setter and middle situation goes with the injuries |

Larson shouldn’t pick Cassidy. They bring the same strengths to the table. I think Larson is gonna want someone like Ebony meh. Larson picks her so 1) no other team has one of the best passers in the league... 2) Larson wants a good passer so she can be hitting in system where she's more effective
I'm in agreement, lock down your teams passing--and prevent another team from (or two teams) from being able to field 3 good passers. There's no problems with Larson (or even Cassidy) not being terminal in this league. Having two strong OH, also reduces the need for an elite setter early on as well.

Larson will still be #1 on the leaderboard next week even though she doesn’t get to pick first in the draft this week. Or maybe she won’t be. Who knows. Wouldn’t that be interesting?
I find myself rooting for all of the players just like when I watch any other volleyball match. Strange that only one player gets crowned champion though. That’s what I’m admittedly trying to get used to. Such a beautiful team sport, so even if the teams get jumbled around every week, at least they’re still a team.
