So what is everyone thinking captains will choose? Lowe said she wants a good setter and a passing OH... I can see her getting SSS and Cruz Clark stood out as a libero above Velez and Tupac: De La Cruz could benefit from her Attkinson, and Nwamebu also made a strong case and Willow Johnson made a case for herself on the last set today of what she can do. and most importantly, where will sheila fall? I’m wondering if Larson picks up Sheilla. I mean how many times has Sheilla ruined Larson’s dreams now? I’d say she would wanna be on the same side of the net for once lmao No.

The worst thing that might happen is that if the top point getting already has the championship in the bag by the end of week 3 or so...

After watching the opening matches this weekend, I'm really, really shocked they didn't partner with a daily fantasy site. The point system is built for this and could help generate eyes to the league. Maybe next year?

They should name the teams for the Hogwart houses.

Im enjoying it. Big difference between college seniors and grown women. Especially when there's no crowd noise.

question: will team captains be decided on point leaders of each weekend alone or the point leaders cumulative from all weeks?

Does the draft just go from 1-4 and then back to 1 or does it go 1-2-3-4-4-3-2-1? I thought it went 4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4. DLC drafts first followed by Edmond, Lowe, and finally Larson. DLC picks Aury Cruz. Edmond with Lichtman or Nwanebu. Lowe drafts Lichtman if Edmond selects Ebony first, but if she takes her than maybe McClendon. She'll have the difficulty of having to choose whats left at OH since the best are already captains. Larson can select twice so probably Sybeldon, returning the favor for picking her first and either Manns or an OPP.

question: will team captains be decided on point leaders of each weekend alone or the point leaders cumulative from all weeks? I think it is point leaders of each week, but the wording on the AU website is pretty unclear. "After the last match of every week, the top four point scorers will be named team captains. Each captain will be assigned to a team color based on their standing."

From looking at how they did it during softball, it was top 4 point scorers for the week, not cumulative. I'd guess that is they do it again.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but do the players get any base pay? I assume they also cover housing, food, transportation?
