Captains are cumulative? that's the lamest thing ever. (even more than the 4th captain picking first)
Larson is never not going to be a captain now.
Weekly captains would make things more exciting, more dependent on how you play that specific weekend (and give some of the players who didn't start this week a chance)

The website is very vague about this though.

If there's one thing I'm definitely capable of, it's being wrong. (Especially since coaches don't stick with any captain or team, and we don't really make those decisions, they're all made by the player council.)

The driving ethos in this league is that everything is athlete-driven. Of course there's staff with various fields of expertise, but as an overall level, everything is approved or declined by the player council. On a week-to-week basis, the captain has the final say in everything that gets done in the draft, in practice, or the match. Now of course, the captains can (and do) say things like, "I don't want to write out all the practice drills, I just want to make sure we work on X, Y, or Z." Or as a coach, I'll say, "if we start in this rotation, here's the pros and cons and what the likely matchups will be, and if we start in this other rotation, here's the pros and cons and what the likely matchups will be." And then the captain might make her call. And some captains might say, "once the match starts, I just want to focus on my game, you call the subs and the timeouts," etc.
It's been fun so far!

I just want to see more SSS to McCage. I would love to see SSS on a team with McCage and Gibby

I can't help think that Chris McGown's father, Carl, would have loved this draft process. An opportunity to statistically analyze the GMS theories more. OH, OH, Op, S, M, M, L is the current though process, I believe.

It was an exciting first weekend of AU. My favorite players to watch was Ebony, Beth Cruz, Taylor Morgan, Crocker (who I never paid attention to in college), Tiffany Clark, and McCage.

OH, OH, Op, S, M, M, L is the current though process, I believe. This would almost assuredly what I would go into every time. I might switch OP and OH. In this league, I'm not sure there's 4 really good OPP's and there definitely aren't 4 really good S's so you don't want to be last in getting either of those positions.

It'll be interesting to see the strategies... especially with three OH's being captains.
Setters are all so close to each other (honestly none of them really stood out besides King was quite poor)
I think Tier 1 opposites are Ebony and Sherridan. I think my opinion of the rest will evolve with different setting partners.
Aury and Cassidy are the Tier 1 OH's... I think the level significantly drops after them. I'd like to see more from Erica Wilson, Erin Fairs, and Odina.
Clark was by fair the best passing libero during week 1. Tupac and Velez were similar, while there was a big drop off to Rosado. I think if you're Karsta or Edmond, you try to snatch Tiffany when you can. (edit: Actually, Velez was closer to Rosado than she was to Tupac)

Man, I hope this gets another season that is maybe a little bit longer and had enough athletes for 6-8 teams. That would be amazing.
I agree the captains should be the top four point earners for each round, not cumulative.
Hopefully next year the NCAA will be back to its normal schedule and more players will be able to join/return to play.

If DLC is at 72% positive, you're not serving tough enough.
