I have heard good things about the Damuni girl. I think the Bower comparison is right on. And, because of BYU's passing woes we kind of have to go that direction. Hope she plays in the SoCal qualifier so I can get more direct insight from my sources.

Anybody have inside info on Decker? I know she has been on the top 150 list and her club is a top 50 club but that’s about all I know. I’ve watched some footage and she looks very good from what I’ve seen. Maybe not Meyer good but similar style in setting.

I’ve watched some footage and she looks very good from what I’ve seen. Maybe not Meyer good but similar style in setting. I’ve only watched her one time, but I was really impressed. She missed quite a bit of her senior season-ankle injury I think could be wrong. I know she really wanted to go to BYU, but with Meyer in the wings, there wasn’t a schollie available. Glad her dreams came true! |

Love the diversity at the setting position in the future-love having the tall setter (Decker) and the smaller athletic setter in Dumani. I also like that both of them get time under Bower to develop. Heather Olmstead really is underrated as a setting coach IMO.

Abby’s work ethic is second to none, and She’s a great competitor with positive energy. She’ll contribute to the team’s success whether she’s on the court or not.

Judging by Wyoming's stats from the last couple of seasons, it looks like they were running a 6-2 with Olsen as one of the setters. My guess is that she'll be third on the depth chart behind Bower and Decker, but it's nice to have a third setter on the roster just in case.

The team has been very quiet on social media lately, but Heather Olmstead did an hour-long podcast on BYU Radio a couple days ago. I haven't had a chance to listen to this one yet, but these podcasts tend to be pretty interesting and informative based on the ones I have listened to. |
