Blue/White scrimmage is Saturday August 20 at 1 p.m. Open to the public. I am betting heavily on Blue to win. Thank you. That's the time and date that I thought it would be, but it's good to have confirmation.

LoL, it's like Congress, you have to place the bet first before you find out "who's on first", so to speak.

According to this, BYU's regular season finale against San Diego will be broadcast on ESPNU. It just occurred to me that BYU's last conference match as a member of the WCC is this one, so ESPN will have plenty to talk about.

Oh yah! Never thought about that as the last WCC Conference match. That will be an interesting commentating opportunity.
Thanks for info on the scrimmage- looking forward to it.

Yea, definitely going to have mixed feelings watching that last match. I know the Big 12 will be very good for the growth of the program (eliminate some natural complacency). That being said, sure fun to have all the trip to SoCal and NorCal -- essential 2 each year. Going to miss those opportunities.

Ignore the "August 21" in the graphic. It's on Saturday, August 20. I'll be there, and I'll report my observations when I get back.
Edit: Lol, it looks like they realized their mistake and have taken down the post on Twitter and Instagram. I imagine they'll repost with the correct date.

I agree. It should allow her to make even more athletic and daring sets when the team is inevitably out of system.

What new setting rules are you referring to? As of this moment i do not see any new rule for 2022-2023 that is different than last year? Maybe there has been a discussion in Referee PAVO training were there will be a newly defined emphasis? But an actual rule change has not occurred as far as i can tell? Same rules 2022 as 2021 for setters and players

Hopefully, it will become permanent soon.

Yea, no official rule change. But clearly going that way and pretty clear point of emphasis in my circles (officials know and understand it). I have mixed feelings--but probably the right move in terms of consistency. Regardless, I think some setters will be pushing the envelope this year.
