Also, this was presumably filmed and plenty of adults heard and saw what happened. Identify these students and punish them. Making violent threats that apparently are racially motivated is a CRIME, not to mention surely against university code of conduct. PUNISH THEM.

Unless they've had prior issues, I don't think kicking someone out of school is the best way of handling this. Some of these may be foolish young teenagers who need to learn a hard lesson, but be given the opportunity to correct their behavior and hopefully their entire attitude. Maybe I'm being too lenient though. I just don't like making decisions without getting all the information. |

Although maybe that is what is needed. I disagree. Being a teenager is no excuse for such behavior. This should be treated as a serious honor code violation, which means being dismissed from BYU. |

💪🏽💪🏽Right on : Duke should have walked off floor and refused to play unless fan(s) arrested and removed. Duke team should have walked out! And any other teams scheduled at BYU should CANCEL. The WCC also needs to do something. Barring fans from attending, something. Behavior like this absolutely CANNOT go unpunished. I know it’s not the girls fault, but the ncaa needs to ban fans from BYU, suspend their home games, suspend their season. Something. BYU cannot go unpunished I mean, BYU isn't going to be the WCC's issue any more after this year. It does make me concerned for Texas going up there next year. I didn't even know this was a thing. |

Was going to post about this. BYU and the WCC need to make a statement here. Duke does too, as does the NCAA. It's unacceptable. Threaten forfeits if the abuse continues. Or at a minimum home games behind closed doors, as they do for soccer in Europe.

Jail time is the best punishment. On top of kicking them out Look, I might say the same thing after having all the information. I just like to get facts in evidence before taking measures to punish people. I would like to see the attitudes and behavior of people change, not just punishment, so I am truly seeking for answers that will have an affect on that. Perhaps it's because when I was punished as a child without the actual underlying issues being addressed, it did me no good. As long as that is addressed with the punishment, I have no issue with it, and that includes kicking them out of school or even criminal prosecution. |
