Wow Penn State could have won a championship if had an outside... Fitzpatrick, although a bit undersized, was a good pickup, but she didn't have a good night; started out hot and cooled off considerably. I expect a better game tomorrow. I like #0 she has fight she will be great for them, but they need more depth at oh... hopefully can pick up a few this fall .

Couple thoughts:
1. Hilley and Lilley get a lot of the press as the nation's top setters, but Blossom should be in that conversation too. And she's got the perfect demeanor for this PSU team. 2. Stephanie Samedy is currently the best player in the country. No one is playing at the level she's playing at right now. 3. Really glad McGraw is back and everything's okay. She makes a clear difference for Minnesota. 4. Gotta wonder what's going through Katie Myers' head these days. 5. Can't believe Rose left Rutgers girl in as much as he did. Literally anyone else would've been better.

Went up to the up ref after the match and said “I just wanna tell you nice job”. Pretty much code for “ignore the attitude Penn State was giving you all night”. These officials were second-rate. That ball was up off Blossom's shoe, Shaffmaster is 100% a back row attacker when she's jump-dumping for kills, and Rose having to use a challenge to reverse Fitzpatrick's kill that literally landed 3 feet inside the sideline past McGraw was inexcusable. Where was Devonie McLarty This was a top match with great teams and should have had top officials.

"Shaffmaster is 100% a back row attacker when she's jump-dumping for kills" - You are not courtside with an appropriate view of the height of the ball relative to the net to make this determination. If it is so obvious why have no referees called it yet all season? "Rose having to use a challenge to reverse Fitzpatrick's kill that literally landed 3 feet inside the sideline past McGraw was inexcusable" - This is true, but what is also inexcusable is Rose challenging when the OH spatched the ball and asked for a touch and he challenged for no good reason. That wasted challenge doesn't seem to be mentioned when folks are complaining about the reffing. What was Rose and his staff doing that they did not see the play and allowed the player to convince them to make a wasteful challenge?

She doesn’t play outside never has. She was a middle right side for TAV She was being recruited to PSU as a RS and is listed as an OH and Opp at UCLA:
[/quote Iman is left handed not optimal for a left side hitter.

That's the only possiblity for the choice, Nastya was a huge liability and Minnesota knew they wanted no part of setting her.

Where was Devonie McLarty Wrong. Her hands have to contact the ball above the height of the net when she's jumping in front of the ten foot line. Fair assessment that she did not during the play in question. But you're right about Samedy being the best player in the country right now.

She’s late off the floor, and Samedy went right over her. Then there’s the misreads, like jumping with Shaffmaster and giving Samedy an open net.

They just don't have a good well rounded L2 option right now. Liked Clark's serve though.
