I say MN wins both.
I will say the Penn State middles worry me a bit - both are terrific.

At the risk of jinxing the gophers, I just don’t think Penn State has the necessary firepower on the left side or the experience in the back row needed to win this weekend. I think Hord/SG/Jonni are all going to have to play well to simultaneously to give PSU a chance. And I guess a decent amount hinges on the availability of Hampton and Blossom.

I'm not sure how much practice Penn State missed but I think they played well under the circumstances. Minnesota has a thing or two to shore up as well. It should be another good match.

If Blossom and Hampton are back, this is a competitive match. I think ACF showed this past weekend that she is a threat from the left and if it's Blossom setting, I think you will see her and Parker getting a lot more one-on-one block looks. If Hampton is back, it likely puts Bilinovic as the DS for the 2nd outside (not ACF) which really changes the back court for PSU. Also, Clark may be the second outside if she is back. We could see a VERY different PSU team if those players are available.
Minnesota has some question marks. CC's first match was terrible and didn't play the second. If she is not in top form, Minnesota will struggle like they did against Purdue. Also, the production out of Minneosta's middles has been lackluster. They will need to figure that out in order to be a legit contender.

CC did well enough in her first match, the one against Michigan State. The first set of the last match was not good. Rumor has her status as "sick." Minnesota did much better after she was subbed out. For the record, Minnesota always struggles with Purdue. They always come ready to play as does Penn State. That's what make the matches fun to watch.

I really hope PSU can sweep this series. Might be a year too early for that...

I really hope PSU can sweep this series. That's the difference between you and me, I'm hoping for just the opposite of that

Wow Minnesota is in a pretty tough stretch: @ Purdue, vs Penn State, @ Nebraska. One of the toughest stretches in the big ten for sure

They should have more attempts and higher efficiency (more so Grey) when begins Blossom setting them again.
