Badgers letting the Hoosiers creep back into this by refusing to challenge calls and making subs. But a block by Hart and Robinson stop the bleeding.
21-17 UW. TO Indiana.

Badgers cannot cover the middle.

Indiana with one on an overpass and an ace grazing Haggerty's forearms. 23-22.

UW wins 26-24 on a block by Rettke on the pipe attack. Loberg with a great kill and dig in that sequence. Loberg hits 0.700 today.

Not happy with how the badgers ended that the last half of that set. That should have been an easy win, but they let the hoosiers back in. Credit to them for fighting hard.

Defense was not good enough to win NC. It needs to get better.

The only reason set two was a blowout was because of Ashburn's 8 pt run. They have some backrow issues to work on.

To me, the problem is on the block. There were not enough positive block touches, it seemed to me. To many attacks split the seams and were tools. I'm not sure what the floor D can do about that, although I agree there were a few high short deflections and tips they should have got under. Not a lot of digs on either side. Barnes only had 5 compared to Hilley's 8. Oddly Hart had more errors than typical today.
Still Loberg had a great match at the net and from the serving line. Hilley's setting seemed better (Waite was really impressed). She almost had 13 assists per set. Devyn continued to do well hitting over 0.500. And Rettke had a respectable HP match after yesterday. And it's great to see Izzy get back her confidence. She was simply hammering serves.

And Robinson should be a candidate for not just league, but national, awards for the week, if they are doing those.
