Is Sara and Emily going to jump into the main draw and Kerri and Brooke will play Sara and Kelly in the CQ?

Is Sara and Emily going to jump into the main draw and Kerri and Brooke will play Sara and Kelly in the CQ? The only way that happens is if Sara/Em Day apply for a wildcard and are granted one. They only have 1670 entry points. That puts them as the 5th US team in entry points and they wouldn’t make the cut for the Main Draw anyways. Slaes will be back in the CQ, playing whichever team wants to play in Sochi. If there’s no other team playing (impossible right now as there’s like 7 teams signed up), then they are directly in the Qualifiers. They can also apply for a Qualifier Wildcard.

Hard to imagine any team being given a wildcard at this point that would potentially mess with the Olympic qualification system. I’d expect they’ll be limited to the host countries.

So turns out Boca Chica won't count for KWJ/BS anymore since it's outside their last 6 FIVB tournaments. Therefore... KWJ/BS will actually be in CQ.
Slaes will be in the MD because a lot of the partnerships who have more entry points than them were one-off or no longer exists.

tamz (sorry DONT know how to reply to a specific message) would KWJ/BS being in CQ then be smarter to stay home.. is that an option Only if Brooke is really hurt and needs to recover. Otherwise they don't really have anything to loose by going. They have to keep trying to improve their points in case Slaes gets a podium finish. Slaes will need a third or two forth place finishes in the last two events to tie Kerri/Brooke, and a finals appearance would put them ahead. If Kerri/Brooke came out and podiumed in Sochi and Slaes finish outside the top 4, that would put them enough ahead that they couldn't be overtaken in Ostrava. It's exciting that it might all come down to the last event!
