They're now tied with ATeam in entry points. What is the tiebreaker for seeding?

Hughes is clinging to those 2019 points!!!! Not sure when they fall off. It was originally 365 days but they changed it for Covid. But she probably is still holding onto the World Champ points. And not to mention since losing in CQ has no effect on points, she hasn’t gained or lost points this year so far.

Hughes is still holding onto the World Champs 5th place finish worth 480 points. (She has 950 points currently) But that will drop at the end of the month if the points only cling on for 2 years as southbay11 mentioned. This also means that Australia will drop their WC 3rd place finish at the end of the month. Then in Gstaad, Jonanouk would be the true 1 seed in entry points, without even having to use the “host country gets 1 seed if they’re in top 8” rule.

As of this moment, no points will be awarded in Gstaad. The final decision should come next week Why wouldn‘t they award any points? This is a very long story. It has to do with Covid restrictions in Switzerland. I believe close to 8 Olympic teams have dropped out. They have vaccine restrictions and quarantine restrictions and the fivb competition committee didn’t think its fair to award any points when so many teams at a 4 star won’t be showing up. All US Olympic teams except Claes have dropped out. Certain countries are not even showing up - I don’t know what the latest count is but a lot of teams aren’t going. The competition committee will make their final ruling next week but as of now; no points
