is it not weird that Stanford-UCLA are playing 4:00 PM CT and the selection show is at 3:00 PM CT on Sunday? Tbh with the way Stanford played against Washington...I would not be surprised if UCLA splits with the Cardinal. Would be a pretty important result for the selection committee imo. That is an interesting timing.

To get back to bracketology, i saw someone earlier say their seeds would be #3 Texas and #6 Oregon earlier. If that matchup happens, Oregon definitely has the passing talent and the offense to really take it to Texas in my opinion.

Seems like everyone has settled on Washington/Minnesota on the 4/5 line with an Elite 8 match-up.... GM2 on GM2.. but I have no idea how Minnesota is going to handle Washington's serves.... and I don't know if Minnesota serves aggressively enough to make Washington uncomfortable.

The good news will be if Nell Fortner is unavailable or left on ESPN News. Nell is the women's basketball coach at Georgia Tech. She was the first coach to publicly blast the NCAA over the conditions at the women's NCAA tournament vs. the men's. I think Ali Kershner, Molly Binetti, Dawn Staley, Tara Vanderveer, and a few other coaches spoke publicly about it before she did. But Nell Fortner issued a strong statement. (Also shout out to Oregon WBB player Sedona Prince for getting this to go viral on TikTok.)
Here's the article on Ali Kershner

Borup is one of the best passing outsides in the country. Passing better than Nuneviller.

I don't think aggressive serving is the biggest issue for Washington. They are comfortable OOS. A big block and good floor defense is more problematic.

I'm more concerned that Powell is going to hit in the face by a Samedy swing.

Borup is passing great but you need to look at how much floor she is passing. Landfair has the best passing numbers for Minnesota but she is passing a tiny sliver of floor. It isn't just about the stats, responsibilities are also important.

I think Brooke is the better passer but Borup is still fantastic. She is able to create fantastic angles so fast and she reads the ball so well off the servers hands

Is Washington really still GM2? I only ask because of course McLaughlin was near the heart of GM2, but he's been gone for what, six years?
