To be fair, this is a rebuilding year for BYU. People are being seriously rude. Taylen certainly sucked, but I think the young freshman did relatively good for the toughest match of the season. Just seriously bad passing. They will be better next year Um, their most veteran hitter did the worst. I'd be happy about their future, though. that is what I said. taylen nixon (the senior leader) did awful. We all know she is not consistent enough or terminal against elite teams.. you basically said exactly what I was trying to get across in my post. The rest of the team minus the backline didn't play as bad. The other outside is a true frosh and kate played decently. Taylen is leaving and this will only help. If we can improve the passing and defense (frosh libero) and hopefully some help in that area coming. We should be alright and better next year. |

Waited all day for this match and now I’m like... I guess I’ll go to bed? You can stay up until the 1am ET start for Hawaii-UCI men's rematch tonight. It was exciting yesterday. An OH got to play in the front-row for 6 straight rotations after a rotation error, and a 2-12 Irvine squad almost handed undefeated #1 Hawaii it's first lost of the season. Ooh that is tempting, but then that’s only 12 hours from the start of tomorrow’s matches. I need some time to think about what this match says about UCLA, and the Pac-12. My heart. |

If Gneiting can get herself in volleyball shape, I’d like to see Dodson on the outside. Eh, they tried that at the beginning of the season. Dodson was okay over there, but she's better in the middle. Plus, Stowell is coming in the fall. |

I don't know what impressed me the most about ESPN3's graphics. The bracket where Kentucky was spelled "Kentucy" or the bracket that had the World Series logo on it. Awful match. Awful production. So, I guess that means you finally figured out how to watch ESPN3 on your TV.   What makes you think I didn't watch it on my computer? But, yes, I did. And it is VERY complicated. |

So, I guess that means you finally figured out how to watch ESPN3 on your TV. What makes you think I didn't watch it on my computer? But, yes, I did. And it is VERY complicated. I bet. I always use my PC with several large monitors, I don't bother with TV's any more. |

Apparently, somehow, in the middle of the set, Irvine had its OH's flipped. I was told they never served out of order, so they didn't lose points for wrong server/out of rotation throughout the set (as this is what happens when an error is found out later in the set), but the announcers were also kind of clueless so I was relying on the VT poster who seemed to have it more clear. I wasn't paying too close of attention to rotations. Hawaii realized it but the refs said they couldn't do anything except for looking at that one point, so Hawaii challenged and won the point because the Irvine OH who scored should have been backrow. Next rotation, he comes back in the frontrow (though he had just played front-row 3 rotations). |

Is this BYU's normal level of play? obviously not. but they didn't get to play an out of conference matches all season. They laid a fat egg and taylen looked like trash, but this is their rebuilding year. the outsides are a timid, taylen and a young erin. Erin did okay for the toughest match all season. Taylen obviously sucked. We have a top six recruiting class next year that will help. The passing has been bad all year, and I expect Heather to find a way around it. It is simply awful. Other than that, I don't think anyone else played particularly awful. Kennedy didn't play great, but you have to consider that they didn't get an practice to play top teams outside of San Diego, Pepperdine, and the last game against UCLA. Too much youth. minus a lost Taylen and Kennedy who you could tell was super frustrated. None have any experience. |

I just don't and never have seen enough killer instinct from her.. She is not terminal enough for OH 1. I am ready to let some of our top recruits have a crack at it. |

She is not that person. |

I'd give the ref a YELLOW CARDthe reffing was garbage that match. Terrible calls both ways multiple times. |
