Kentucky has been eliminated by a PAC/B1G team in the last four tournaments. Tough matches, yes absolutely. But at some point you gotta play the match and win. Losing 4 straight (and 2-12 in sets) really negates the idea that they’re getting screwed out of the Final Four. Where did I say they were getting screwed out of Final Fours? They’ve been seeded to make the final four ONCE, and I think it was pretty common knowledge Nebraska should have been 4 over them. Acting like the SEC sucks because Kentucky loses, as the 9-seed, to Washington, the 8-seed, or as the 10-seed, to Nebraska, as the 7-seed, makes no sense. Oh yeah I think we’re on the same page then. I thought you were arguing the SEC teams are being under-seeded.

you’re bringing up a “x beat y and then y beat z” from 6 years ago to prove a point about the strength of conferences ? Following 2015, Washington has ended Kentucky's season three time and Nebraska once. Nebraska twice*

I think they've struggled to reach their full potential, but that's a separate conversation.

Ohio St has been fueled by the one thing Florida just never really seems to show a ton of, and that’s toughness. Just my opinion Idk. Shainah Joseph was pretty tough. Holston & Snyder had an edge to them at times. Caesar is definitely tough. Was too tough for Georgia, that’s for sure.

Of course it is in this game thread that people with no connection with either team decide to have pissing matches...

Gators are crocodilians. They aren't lizards. That's why it's a put down, you see.
I figured I'd pepper this pissing match with a little pedantic mansplaining. Cuz, why not?

Really looking forward to this match. Ohio State is just a lot of fun to watch.
Ohio State is a team that is better than the individual pieces would have you believe.
Gritty and relentless.
Florida has more talent.
I wouldn't be surprised by a rather easy win for Florida 3-0 or 3-1 with the winning sets 21,22,19
Ohio State has the advantage in rally's. Watching Florida vs Kentucky i wasn't impressed with Florida's transition game or OOS setting.
Ohio State wins a razor close match....or Florida as noted above.

I am a big Florida fan and I do have to admit they seem to fall apart the last few years in some big matches. I guess it might give the air of not being tough. In spite of all they are still usually the last SEC team standing. They were pretty tough against Minnesota last year. In 2017 they were tough and gritty against three PAC12 traditional powerhouses in a row. A lost to Nebraska in the final but a victory against them earlier that season. Year after the Nebraska final they were pretty tough on Nebraska”s home court. Not sure any of that past history will help them today though but if passing and setting is going well they have a good chance to triumph.
