for anyone who is cultured: Does LAX not fly to Italy? (I saw they were going to Frankfurt) (or is just cheaper lol) They must be flying United or Lufthansa. United’s big European hub is Frankfort and then Lufthansa takes over. Not too many direct flights to Italy right now. Delta out of Atlanta, maybe one on United on of Chicago. American out of dfw. Really only big hub flights right now.

for anyone who is cultured: Does LAX not fly to Italy? (I saw they were going to Frankfurt) (or is just cheaper lol) I worked at LAX, can't ever remember any direct flights from LAX-Italy. I don't even know about many west-coast cities at all going direct to Italy. LAX did go to several other European destinations direct, including Zurich, Amsterdam, Paris, etc. Personally, I'd probably rather fly LAX-East coast then direct to Italy. I usually don't like layovers, but once flights get into the 10+ hour territory, it's nice to break it up a little, though that does run the risk of delays. www.flightconnections.com/flights-from-los-angeles-lax that site is pretty good about updating where cities fly to direct and not.

According to that site, Italy will actually fly direct to LAX starting in July. Some other European-LAX routes will be cancelled. I imagine a ton of changes will probably come to travel internationally in the coming times.

That said, Alitalia is the Italian airline but they offer a pretty weak product and even the Italian government has recently dumped them for another Italian airline to be the national flagship airline. I supposed AA may do a flight to FCO.

Agreed about LAX-East Coast. My family and I usually used LAX-Buffalo-wherever we were going.
