Also wait is Kosholeva still a monster or ? she looked good at CVL two years ago!
But then, it's CVL, and it's two years ago...
although I still think that she has it.

Also wait is Kosholeva still a monster or ? she's good but not as good as she has been. not sure whether its age or whether it's her getting back to form after injury. she did pretty well for Galatasaray though.

The FIVB seems to think that the top teams are USA, Brazil, Turkey, Russia and Japan (based on their rosters). Do we agree? Startseva said that the goal for Russia is to make the podium at this VNL. They have the pieces (Startseva, Goncharova, Voronkova, Kosheleva, Koroleva, Fetisova, just missing Malova at libero), but it would be a risk to play with them majority of the tournament and burn out right before the Olympics. Japan is pretty much the same, but they are still adjusting to these setters after losing Sato and leaving Miyash!ta behind. Nagaoka returned and I saw some confidence in the practice match against China, but whether she can keep it up against tough competition in back to back matches is something we have to wait and see.

What would an all star team look like with the rosters provided here ? I’ll start S Carlini OH Robinson OH Fe Garay?? MB Eda MB Chiaka OPP Tandara? L Castillo This was just off the top of my head and not thought of very throughly so don’t attack hi everyone, so here's my team: S Tomkom OH Herbots OH Garay MB Eda MB Chiaka OPP Goncharova L Wang

S: Cansu OH: Robinson, Karakurt MB: Koroleva, Gunes (but now that she's injured, I'd replace with Fetisova) OPP: Goncharova L: Castillo Cansu over Nootsara, Carlini, and Poulter? Heck, over Naz? Karakurt at outside before KYK, healthy Natalia, Kosheleva? #choices

That's been Russia's achilles heel since at least 2015.

Also wait is Kosholeva still a monster or ? she improved so much her pass since Brazil's league and still goes to the sky to hit the ball... but high ball all the time, block is always on even when she can go over.

Her attitude changed over the years as well. Back then she came across as cold and a bit harsh to me, but now she seems calmer and more positive.

Karakurt at outside before KYK, healthy Natalia, Kosheleva? #choices Nootsara is a blocking liability, and Cansu has years of experience at VB. I don't think it's a controversial choice.
OK, I forgot Naz. Naz instead of Cansu then.
KYK is 33. OK, she had 2nd highest attack efficiency at the world cup, but still I prefer Karakurt. Natalia isn't healthy and Koshe can't receive. At least karakurt can do a little receiving.
that being said, you know if China, Italy, and Serbia's A teams were here, none of these players (with all due respect, these are great players lol) would be anywhere near the dream team.

I don't even think Japan can go 3/3 in the first week.

Heck even Japan's second libero Kotoe Inoue who plays behind Kobata could be starting for a lot of NT here.
