Poulter, Martinez Arina F, Hill Lubian, Koreleva Castillo
But it too bad that there isn't a volleyball fantasy league site that we could quickly join.

I didn't watch it but checked the stats. God how did she get 23 points when Koga got less 😂 That match revealed a LOT of the USA's weaknesses in defense (as Japan does to most teams). The teams utter collapse in the 4th set towards the end was VERY irritating. Hill subbed in and hit that ball off the antenna and I literally bellowed at the TV. The team having to go 5 sets and then turn around the next morning and play China was, IMO, one of the reasons why we got spanked by them. Granted, China also went 5 vs. Brazil the day before. However, they did get 2-3 hours more rest than the USA did. I also think Karch erred by starting Poulter and not Carlini. Alas....the tournament really didn't have any real implications. You see, this was something about Karch I never figured out. Why didn't he start Carlini in the match with China, if he wanted to win?
And if he didn't want to win and wanted to give more chances to Poulter (since no OG tickets were on the line), why did he have such an ugly face when they lost?

Is she just another Russian powerhouse spiker or can she pass too? Russia has lots of young talent on both pins that is coming of age. Arina F. played very well for Dinamo Ak-Bars this past season. She is a decent passer for her age (she might be 17/18) and is only going to get better. Her offensive out put is VERY good. Startseva was her setter at the club and they ran the fastest offense I have ever seen in Russia. Now, whether Busato lets her run that same offense with the NT, we shall see during this tournament. Between Fedorovtseva, Parubets, Voronkova, Lazareva and Kadochkina.....Russia's future is assured.

I've decided I'm staying up for NED-BEL...for better or for worse. I hope both teams start their 'A' lineups though I want a good match.

man, i'm suddenly seeing... round roubin with 15 matches in like 4 weeks for only 4 tickets to make it to the Finals! the teams really don't want to drop sets for like Thailand, Canada or Serbia. definetely want to win over Poland, Germany and Netherlands without some of their big stars. Playing Russia, DOM and Korea could be a test for the OG. i think Belgium, China (no top players on) and Italy can make tougher the opponent's lives. the rest can really made it to the podium.

I've decided I'm staying up for NED-BEL...for better or for worse. I hope both teams start their 'A' lineups though I want a good match. Belgium will. Depending on the Dutch roster/starters, the Belgians could beat them. If I have to watch Anne Buijs shank passes all tournament, I am going to be VERY disappointed. I really want to see Daalderop and M. Jasper playing on the outside with Plak at Opposite. Bongaerts and Schoot should be the starting setter/libero paring. For MB I think Lohuis and either Baijens/DeZwart will be good if the team can be in system. The Belgians will likely start I. Van de Vyver, Herbots, Van Gestel, Grobelna, Sobolska, and Janssens. Their Libero is the big ?. J. Guillams (listed as a WS) has been their L in the past. Dunno if she will play that role this year.
