Sorry for the OT - but what was with Cuba that match? Did they overlook the US and think they would get an easy match to get into the finals? I've watched the reply dozens of times, but I wasn't following volleyball back then, so I may not know the full storyline. VT historians, please enlighten me  |

Sorry for the OT - but what was with Cuba that match? Did they overlook the US and think they would get an easy match to get into the finals? I've watched the reply dozens of times, but I wasn't following volleyball back then, so I may not know the full storyline. VT historians, please enlighten me USA played really really well. Tom and Willoughby were clutch as was Lindsey Berg. We essentially served and blocked them off the court and they were very very error prone. It was a complete reversal of the prelims where they served us off the court. and well.. we had JLP |

USA played well, don't get me wrong, but Cuba just couldn't do anything right. The pillars of their game at the time were serving and side-out offense (and OOS offense for that matter), but they couldn't come up with anything. Lots of errors, particularly from the service line. |

She wasn’t invited out. Winzer went with players who played on their NextGen team. She was NextGen coach last year. |
