Rosters are updated in OP (hopefully correct lol)
Teams with players born after 1999 Belgium: 8 Brazil: 1 Canada: 4 China: 1 Dominican: 4 Germany: 6 Italy: 7 Japan: 5 Korea: 5 Netherlands: 8 Poland: 8 Russia: 5 Serbia: 12 Turkey: 2 USA: 0
USA prioritizing VNL. Hopefully, it pays off. USA prioritizes experience. Young players hardly get a chance, unless there's no choice.

Thompson, Rettke, Mary Lake Yes, it was a different time but why haven't other followed suit? Our goal has always been gold. However, we only get gold at VNL/Grand Prix in the past 6 years.

Letting Lloyd, Murphy, and Gibbemeyer go seemed to signal a philosophy change. Even now, the inclusion of Plummer is something that we probably wouldn’t have seen here if 2018 had gone differently.

A few thoughts: Is Germany not bringing Lippmann? That’s a surprise. But I only counted 17 names on the roster. Based on name recognition...Canada could beat this Serbia roster... China only has 13 players listed so far so I’d assume the five other players are Zhu, Li Yingying, Ding, Yuan, and their other starting middle whose name is slipping my mind but maybe they go with youth.

De Kruijf is not joining the national team this season. Then she just needs to retire from the NT. She hasn’t played with them since 2017. She got a taste of what winning was like with Imoco. Playing club is much easier and fun, but on the Dutch NT it's stressful. I honestly don't see her playing for them again. It would be nice to see her end her career with the NT in front of her home country at WCH 2022, but their outlook for that doesn't look well. It might just bring her more stress and anxiety to be back the the Dutch squad with all its constant changes of players/coaches.
