1) As you note, they are Wisconsin. 2) They are not Minnesota. I don’t know how it can be stated more plainly than that! (My personal objection to less-deserving Wisconsin winning their first Natty before us, though, is outweighed by my irrational dislike of Texas, and my entirely rational disapproval of all things PAC12. I could live with either Wisconsin or Kentucky winning it all.) Don’t forget the connection between Minnesota and Kentucky! I haven't. Go, Anders!

By the way, we have 12 scholarships every year, right? Are there really that many players who actually have a chance of contributing on the court each year who don't have a scholarship? I have a hard time believing many are like that. I'm not sure what you are asking here, but the answer is yes. This is a problem unique to elite programs. You end up with more talent than you can possibly use and YOU STILL NEED ROLE PLAYERS. How do you convince good ones to join without scholarship? You have to find good players with good character that want to be a part of a good program. Insert Izzy Ashburn's name here. Shondell once told me (could someone pick up that name I just dropped please ) that he's had something like 7 girls TOTAL leave Purdue for the portal. Minnesota almost equaled that in one year. Now that being said, I still believe Minnesota is an ELITE program that is continuing to draw elite level athletes to their program. If something is missing< I hope they can identify it and bring home a National Title! SKI U MAH (I hope we never find out that phrase has some type of heinous undertones)

Kleinman had 354 kills in 2019. Injured this season? ECU played less than half of the schedule. She wasn't injured. Her ball-control still isn't great. She's a tough server and was the go-to hitter along with Bri Wood. Kleinman will be back in the Fall while Wood won't, so I hope she has a big season. I was hoping she would have had more success. Not that she's been bad for ECU. They also went through a coaching change.

It looks like Wenaas is transferring from what she posted on Tiktok. Not sure, but she just posted a video with the title "When leaving school doesn't mean school is over." and then says "I think i've had enough." Link?

You’re assumption is such a reach, I’d recommend deleting that post. Looks like normal tiktok humor.

I’ve had suspicions for a while but I doubt that tiktok means anything. She’s most likely talking about online school... as in she’s heading back to Texas but still has finals. I doubt she would transfer right after Rollins announces.. unless she doesn’t want to play OH or she just wants to be somewhere else. Rollins transferring is good for Jenna.

I hope she doesn't transfer. She is very talented and I think she is a great all-around player. I really didn't mean to start anything. I just wanted to share that the video seemed very cryptic. Also, completely agree, Tiktok is not a great source! haha

Barnes and Mau are the only ones besides Love that would have started. Mau was behind Santana and Wilhite when she left.

Tamara Dologna - ?? Pauline Swider - ?? DeFelice - ?? Sydney Howard - ?? Brittany Jack - ?? My comments: Tabitha Love - UCLA Practically the only kid who transferred out of Mike's program and he retired when she did.Lindsey Lawmaster - Long Beach State Wasn't good enough to be the libero.Kalysta White - Miami Ohio Probably wanted to play more.Karlie Hauer - Florida State Wasn't good enough to beat out the kids here.Karyn Israel - Florida State Didn't play much at FSU either.Kalei Mau - Arizona State Program wanted her to stay.Brittney McLean - South Carolina Wasn't better than the OHs here.Sydney Kleinman - East Carolina Wanted to play more?Jasmyn Martin - Florida State No clue. But she wasn't going to beat out Samedy and OH didn't seem to be her position.Lauren Barnes - Wisconsin HUGE loss. They didn't want her to transfer.Sara Nielsen - Kansas Wasn't good enough to beat out Miller, imo. Ended up on the bench at Kansas too. That's all I know. Except they wanted her to stay.Alice Zeimann - word was to play Beach Volleyball at Florida State Yep. Wanted to play beach, which was her talent.Rebecca Rendahl - Fresno State Was never going to beat out the middles here.Cami Appiani - ?? Not sure why she decided to give up VB. Wanted to concentrate on school? COVID perspective?Tamara Dologna - ?? Didn't have roster space at the time she left.Pauline Swider - ?? Dunno.DeFelice - ?? Dunno.Sydney Howard - ?? Quit volleyball afaik.Brittany Jack - ?? Financial decision? The point is only Love and Barnes would have seen significant court time here. AND the program helped these kids relocate. Rollins is different. Wenaas would be a huge loss. I've heard nothing about that.

so, you really like the game back in the 80's. Do you like throws? Do you like trying to defend a throw? I can't stand it. No, I like a legal tip.

Fact is, she knew she could be the starting libero elsewhere. But she still decided to play behind Clark. Is there any reason to believe she didn't just want to be closer to home? Then she should've never came to Minnesota in the first place. I will still hold her lack of loyalty, to spit in our faces and go to our rival, against her. Particularly considering .... CC has been very inconsistent these last two years. I think Barnes would have replaced her. I also think CC's injuries have had a lot to do with her inconsistency. Hoping the next season (or two) will see her shine. Yep, I'm sure a lot would agree with this. I bear Barnesie absolutely zero ill will. I hope that she plays her best match every single time she’s out there — even when playing against the Gophers. I just want us to play -better-. One time, after our booster club meeting, we got to talking about transfers. Mike Hebert said that he would never deny a release to a player, because these people were young KIDS when they made this decision. Maybe it was right; maybe it was wrong. He felt that they shouldn’t be penalized for wanting to correct what ended up being a bad decision. I agree with Mike.

She was an imposing figure and loomed large, and let's not forget the whooping she handed the U during the B1G TEN/ ACC challenge. If I had a critique it would be that she seemed a little one dimensional and did not pass better than Rollins. Her motto seemed to be "See hands break hands/ See block hit into block" Brittney was a smart hitter who I thought was never really given the opportunity to prove herself.

There can only be 6 players on the court and Hugh has to make decisions. All of the extra reps that Wilhite got to eventually make her NPOY were reps that Mau (or even Hauer) could have gotten. Minnesota invested in Wilhite and it paid off. Mau transferred and became a first team AA. I think the Gophers were doing the same thing with CC. The coaching staff clearly sees something in her. Barnes took her talent elsewhere, closer to her family.
