This is unlikely to happen, but my dream would be to have Izzy Ashburn transfer to the Gophers. Great server, defender, setter, has demonstrated that she can even pass... I’d say she would vie for playing time pretty easily.

I want a season relatively free of injuries. These last two seasons have been tough.
I also want them to beat teams they should beat -- Oregon, Creighton (yes they did win) and Pittsburgh, to name three. This year's team had too many letdowns after taking a set. Not sure what that was about.

Ashburn wouldn’t transfer here. I think Wisconsin has a much better volleyball culture than Minnesota right now. MN shined 2015-16 and 2018, but never fully lived up to expectations.

My thoughts although I know nothing and hate to say negative things...
Anna Wolf could be really interesting.
I'm not sure why Gray committed to MN when she was in ninth grade. She has the potential to be a really good six-rotation player at a lot of very good schools--just not in the B1G.
Don't know anything about the other people.

That being said, I'm not sure she'd see an expanded role at Minnesota. If I were a coach that passed on a potential Olympic setter (Orr) for a 6'4" setter a year older, I would have that setter be the main one until it was painfully obvious it wasn't working out. |

Not sure what that was about. Not having the usual fall season didn't help. Typically there's the nice, slow ramp up to the season with two easy tourneys (Diet Coke Classic and the B1G vs ACC challenge) The trip out west to play some PAC 12 teams and see where you're at, and then the regular season which has tough games with some easier ones sprinkled in. Gophers didn't have the benefit of any of that which apparently they need more than some other teams do. I'm also not sure if the have the same kinds of floor leaders like they have had in past seasons. SSS, Wilhite, Morgan, Santana, Morgan come to mind. Do they have anybody like that now? I'm asking not criticizing. |

You are 100% right that unless we're on the inside we have no idea what's going on BUT you can generally infer something may not be awesome when there's a mass exodus to the transfer portal. |
