IMO it’s gonna depend, in large part, on UWs block. KY has so much speed and athleticism they could just beat, chisel, out smart the block, but if KY is passing only mediocre that will set UWs block up for success.
I think/hope UW can pull it off. 🤞🏻

Powell, at 6'0", is an excellent blocker for a setter - she had five blocks against Pitt, including a huge solo in Set 4. Last season: UW 7sa/5se vs UK 9sa/11se. Bogomolova had three aces. They targeted Stumler, who had 4 of UK's 7 REs, hitting .132. Edmund hit .205. Bajema hit .400.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Kentucky scramble UW, but I have a hunch it will be a close match and maybe a Dawgs victory. It's mostly about serving and blocking, and UW has both. They may even offset UW's slowness. I would be shocked to see Stumler hit .132 again.

Conference plays a part in that but still.

Also Hoffman def deserved AA. Glad she got it. She’s saving Washington’s passing almost by herself.

Endsley has been playing great. On a good pass, both Sanders and Grote are running slides. Drechsel and Endsley both hit a very "heavy" ball, and Hoffman isn't very far behind.

Hopefully there's at least some drama to this match... would be great to see some long Bogo serving runs or some game saving challenges too lol.

^lol Imagine being so pathetic. Nebraska and Kentucky are both middling research institutions. Well below Big Ten standards.
