Not quibbling about the result but this game is the prime evidence for why the challenge rules need to be changed. there is actually no reason that you shouldn't keep your challenge if you win it

When you build a lead, you give yourself a buffer. If a call goes against you, volleyball gives you the ability to start from scratch on the next play. Kentucky picked it up and Washington didn't respond. Props to the Huskies though. That was more of a match than I expected. The lead Washington had is completely irrelevant to the bad call. and yet not irrelevant to them losing the set

I’ve never seen a middle being used the way UK uses Tealer. I kinda like it. I love it! Skinner is so smart.. doing different things to help each player.

Momentum is a thing. Washington fell apart before the bad call and never recovered. Winning the 3rd set could have changed the outcome. Let's not blame the crap refs when the Huskies had plenty of chances to close it out.

Why would anyone willingly do that? Better than rooting for Wisconsin. Actually don't know who to root for in their match. Hoping we get 5 setters and a 21-19 score in the 5th. 🙈

Every Kentucky player hit over .300 Washington barely hit .200 It wasn’t the refs. Sir, Avery Skinner hit .283 and accuracy matters on this board. Allegedly.

The lead Washington had is completely irrelevant to the bad call. and yet not irrelevant to them losing the set Well had they called that it would have been 23-20 UW and getting the hot Kentucky server OFF the line. If you don’t see how important that botched call was, that’s on you, but it makes you seem a little ridiculous.

Not quibbling about the result but this game is the prime evidence for why the challenge rules need to be changed. there is actually no reason that you shouldn't keep your challenge if you win it well, realistically, I'm for win it/keep it, but with the quality of cameras, many times it really is a 50/50 chance based on a blurry image. That said, I'm actually also for 3 challenges per set. The goal should be to get the calls right, not have a set hinge on an obvious missed call that can't be reviewed. And esp because that's also an insanely obvious r2 call that should have their eyes glued on the net

Not quibbling about the result but this game is the prime evidence for why the challenge rules need to be changed. Remember that play when Florida hit the ball so obviously in at Texas? The very next year we got the challenge system. Hopefully this match will lead to the challenge system being fixed. I mean, it's the Final Four on ESPN, and 1) ref blows an OBVIOUS challenge call, then a team runs out of challenges (despite winning 2/3 and should have won 3/3), and then 2) in a crucial situation can't challenge a net error that ESPN shows was super obvious. It's embarrassing to NCAA volleyball. And it detracts from a great match won by a great team and lost by another great team.
