I wish Molly kept tooling hard off the block or ran some X plays. Annoyed they brought her in on tip coverage which took her out completely out of hitting and WI staff didn't adjust! -- At some point you need to just risk it and change it, and run a man-up type defense. Especially if the huge WISKY blockers are doing their job. I rather lose on my defense being beat on attacks versus my main OH taken out of hooting rythim. WI also didn't take advantage of TX setter in RF. WI passing was off all match long. Everything 8-12' off the net forcing Hilley had to set most off of one leg push-outs, allowing TX to really set their block and funnel balls to their good back court. Frustrating. I always said, Loberg would be the X factor, she just couldn't terminate. WI poor blocking choice to always block every attack off the net -- once in awhile HOLD, and let your littles pick up the ball.. I noticed TX did that well on WI broken plays or down balls. Two Set/Match Changing Points: Barnes in Game 1, up 20-16 or maybe it was 21-17, I forget, after the timeout -- she misses serve! That was the nail in the coffin point! Miss gave TX hope and started their 6-1 run. SAD - Poor game management by Sheff: Do a sub, call a timeout, question a call, substitute--- anything!! To S L O W the run (meltdown) down. Dana in Game 3, Tied 22-22, hits an amazing ball that is dug up by the TX Libero, to an easy overpass and she half hits it and Texas very luckily converts on that point. TERRIBLE. After that a TX ace because Sheff leaves Demps to pass!?!?!? At least hide her! Dana played below her ability, yes she was neutralized by some amazing Longhorn world-class athletes, but too many times she made poor block commits and hit angle on lots of hittable balls. Did she even attempt a calculated tip tin the entire match? I don't think so. How about Dana gets a 3-1 set, a back-1, fast flat side to tool hands or 1.5 behind the setter??? She's touching 11'2 before any other opposing blocker in the country! (TOOL!) Stop the same wait and run around the setter routine on every free ball... Barnes was fire. Hilley was ok, passing sucked, location and set selection was questionable. Molly taking out of her game with simple adjustments not made. Loberg, eeeeek. Robinson amazing, don't leave for greener pastures. I often wonder what WI would be like with 10-15 more matches under their belt, or at least more than five matches in the last two months. TX yes you won, your fanatics on here claimed you killed WI?!? -- I'm sorry, you didn't get WI's best effort and barely beat them by 2 points in two the sets. Good luck vs- Kentucky (Go Blue). 2020 CORONA CHAMPS! umm... we served y’all out of the gym, the same way y’all did to us in 2013 when we were ranked #1. It’s ok to admit that Texas legitimately beat Wisconsin especially in the serve and pass game which any coach would tell you is how you win games. Also if Wisconsin wasn’t ready for this matchup then that’s a coaching issue but with a group of seniors you would think they would be able to refocus. Can we get a medic in here please? This looks to be a second degree burn.

The two teams that are playing the best are in the finals. Both teams played a fall schedule. If you don't think that helped, you haven't been paying attention.

USA Volleyball is one of the most white sports in the country. Last time I checked, I think there were only 8-10% of players identifying as Black. To see black players, especially young Black women, on the biggest stage, succeeding in a sport that is mostly white, is what the poster was commenting on. You selfishly made it about yourself, thinking that because they were celebrating the success of Black women that it's somehow at the mercy of whites. USA Volleyball has been "trying" to diversify the game (even though they insist on having the final four in a state that's roughly 75% white) and this is essentially the fruit of that labor. Why can't you see the strides we've made as a country and as a sport and celebrate that? So what do you want? NCAA Finals in urban areas w/ with white folks $ too scared to visit? NCAA is not worried about diversity, they just care about Benjamins from Karen and Kyle. And diversifying their portfolio. You'll never see NCAA Live from Compton, CA ...... That's why Omaha is their sugar-mama.... they get tons in revenue hosting there every other year or so. USAV is even worse, they're all about the HO-tel and convention center under the table money they take in yearly at the the "National Qualifiers" and "Junior National Championships". Code for sucker money... Come on USA, add another Division, The Feel Good Division.... I mean you already added Patriot Division, or should I say Patriot Dividends. Tier I convention cities will never be considered during summer, USA too cheap. There was one-off when they held it in Miami, and that was a MESSSSSSS! Starts at the top, and it stinks like a rotten corpse. VOLLEY LIVES MATTER! Chile.... the way your post screams racism. Who said anything about Compton.?

If you don't think that helped, you haven't been paying attention. it sounds more like a program should’ve taken COVID more seriously so that they could’ve had their 20 game season to prepare for the tournament. Texas had a longer season meaning that they could’ve had more time to contract the virus BUT we didn’t. That’s because we took the virus seriously. Once again, a program/coaching issue. The big 10 teams would’ve had 10 extra games to prepare for this tournament than Texas IF they wouldn’t have had so many cancellations.

I’m pretty sure most of the big 12 schools except TCU avoided COVID pauses.

The big 10 teams would’ve had 10 extra games to prepare for this tournament than Texas IF they wouldn’t have had so many cancellations. For the record, the badgers were pretty careful. They did not allow contact with anyone outside the program for most of a year. UW practiced the whole year, through fall, with masks on. Some players said they forgot what their teammate's faces looked like. For some reason the B1G decided not to wear masks during matches. UW was hit after playing an MSU team with an infected athlete who had not tested positive yet. As the B.1.1.7 strain was dominating in Michigan at the time, after an UM athlete brought it back from UK, it may have been that. It only takes one infected person to shut things down when you have a communicable disease. The desire of other teams to get midweek matches in probably increased the probability of spread. Also, some of the cancellations were not entirely due to COVID but related to issues of various sorts in other programs.

It’s ok, dint feel guilty for winning.

No excuses but the big teams just didn’t have the reps to become polished this year. No excuses and Kentucky certainly deserved to win. But all the big teams were down and there’s a reason for that. They all of the sudden just didn’t become not as good.
