MB Janset signed with THY today (from Aydin)
That's a good move for them. They needed a good local MB and she's probably the best option left.

Young Brazilian Phenom Ana Cristina Souza signed with Fenerbahce! Terzic taking on all the young talent. Thankfully they nabbed Gizem Orge and Meliha Ismailoglu so at least someone can pass. |

I'd assume Terzic will start Meliha and then put Ana Christina and Fedorovtseva on the pins. Aren't both of them OHs though? |

I'm waiting a little bit until more news comes about that transfer.... I think it would be weird, especially with how heavily linked she was to France/Volero.
Taking both Ana and Fedorovtseva is such a risk... Neither are even 18 yet...

I'd assume Terzic will start Meliha and then put Ana Christina and Fedorotsova (this is spelled wrong) on the pins. Aren't both of them OHs though? Yep. They also have Lazareva who is young and can also pass. She made an appearance with the Russian NT during the World Cup. She is typically an Opposite though. If the transfer of Ana Cristina is indeed legit (I may have jumped the gun) that is certainly a risky choice by Terzić. |

I didn't see this coming, but I saw the announcement on Fenerbahçe's Facebook page (assuming it is the official page). Must be a fan page, I don't see it on their official page.
But I guess its not as outlandish as I first thought... Boskovic was 17 when she moved to Ecza, Haak was 19 I think, Vargas was 18, Carutasu is a similar age now.

It's definitely a risk, but while Vakif and Imoco will continue to be dominant why not invest in the next generation for the time being.
Long term is where their mindset is right now, add Vargas into that mix in the future assuming she goes back to Fener she'll make them even stronger. Ana and Fedorovtseva will hopefully have had some positive growth and Vargas will then be considered a domestic player. They need to start looking for some young Turkish middles to train with Eda getting older.

fenerbahce investing in young talent could be a short term win for THY.
There could be some growing pains that THY could capitalize on.

maybe THY becomes one of those teams where the sum becomes greater than the individual parts and they're insanely good. Who knows? Do we know who their second OH is along with Kingdon or will they stick with Santana/Seyma.

Seyma will play all of the league matches when Van Ryk is playing. |
