Not a Wisky fan, but very interested third party. Robinson is Wisconsin's best returning pin hitter (as far as we know) and she's darn near unstoppable in system. I wouldn't move her away from the right. She's a side-out machine and can maybe bring a bit of veteran-ship considering Demps didn't play much this year and Jardine is a freshman (I anticipate them starting). she's good on the right, but she's better in the middle. She'll be there. Sheffield will get his pins figured out. He's probably in the portal anyways. (who isn't these days) Robinson on RS helps wisc. More than in middle. When teams attack your setter a RS that can score is large. If wisc. doesnt have the k/g RS player that can equal Robinson: Robinson stays RS: or maybe like texas (felds) you move her left and DS her out of back line! Need terminating pins (robinson) more than robinson in middle

Robinson picks up where Dana left off the in middle and Orzol can terminate from the right. If you keep Robinson on the right... Wisc is going to have a hole at their M1... Robinson(MB)+Orzol fills the gap/standard to Dana+Robinson (RS) much closer than any middle+Robinson (RS) would

Not a Wisconsin fan either but I know a little bit about this situation. What @avid described is plan A. I'm not doubting that WAS plan A, but Robinson was a stud this year on the RS this year. Once they know who is staying and who is leaving, there's going to be a conversation, or several. Unless Orzols looks like she is going to hit .350 on the RS or Robinson is going to hit .500 in the middle, I'm not sure the math supports moving Robinson. Also, other than Barnes, who's passing? Are they going to be able to keep setting the middle 10.5 times per set? Because if you can't get run the middle, why put Robinson there? So I'm guessing she stays put, but it's not my call. Sheffield and friends will sort it out. We just need to wait and see what they decide to do. I didn't say "was". "Unless Orzols looks like she is going to hit .350 on the RS or Robinson is going to hit .500 in the middle" Yes and yes.

Who will hit .426 (outstanding fresh number) for season on the RS?

Devyn will get more attempts in the middle (Dana gone) and thus more kills.

Kelly is very excited about Orzol. The plan is for her to be on the right.

Maybe should have tried to get her more attempts this year? But , please, with respect , confused on why robinson “will get more attempts” in middle with retke gone?

Orzol is actually the one in this class I am most excited about. I have only seen limited video of her and she looks pretty good. Not really the body type they have had on the RS during the Sheffield era. So, not really sure how she is defensively or blocking. But, you're right about Kelly being very excited about her. Just in the interviews he gave on podcasts and radio about her post-signing day you could feel his excitement about her. You and avid seem to know a bit more about her than most.

Well now I am really confused: What do you know about JO? Have you been to Europe to see her play? Because i understand shes an OH: 6 rotations, hits variety of tempo,s and locations on left, plays middle back on defense, wicked jump spin serve (high mph). So she may compete for multiple positions? “She committed to UW in September, giving the Badgers a potential impact six-rotation outside hitter in their 2021 recruiting class, which also includes 6-8 middle blocker Anna Smrek from Welland, Ontario, and 6-2 outside hitter Lauren Jardine from Pleasant Grove, Utah.”

Rettke had a ton of attempts in the middle, more than average. Those attempts have to go somewhere. When Devyn moves to the middle, she will get more attempts (than she did on the right), because she is so good there. Devyn can reach the 50% kill, .426 in the middle. (any alternative to Devyn, won't most likely) That's why I'm saying it'll be Devyn+Orzol... that combination is the best chance to replicate the success Dana+Devyn had this season.

(Demps and Loberg? will slot in there) Orzol's played opposite for the Polish Youth NT. Orzol can bring the OOS firepower that Wisc really lacked this season.

assuming she’s out to go make some coin in Italy/Turkey. She’s the future in the middle for USA in 2024/2028.
